Room on 3rd floor no view 317, bed with tired mattress and plank base caused us to stub our toes if you tried to get in bed. The hotel had beautiful grounds and views of the ocean and the food was excellent. Would go back again, but ask for different room.

We liked th3 room access and service at the beach and the kids loved the pool. We enjoyed our outdoor lunch and free parking.

I was on a trip with my sister. We loved the location of the resort and definitely great customer service from room cleaning, restaurant and front desk.

I like the beach. Booking the rooms are very tricky, we wanted a room that have direct view of the ocean but the premium ocena view doesn't necessarily mean you have direct view, there's a premium sunset room which has better view. if i have known i would have booked that room.

there was a lady at the reception that was not friendly. answering questions very rudely and doesn't seem very happy at her job. In the Tide Room, our server is somewhat friendly but wasn't warm. she did her job serving us but that's it. no one's answering the phone at the front desk and so does the Tide room, wait no one answers the phone at all period.

Hotel was very clean and beach and amenities were good. Despite the bad weather we had a good time.

Great stay. Only complaint was the room lighting. There are only 2 lights in the room and both had undersized bulbs making the room very dark.

Food and drinks were rather expensive. You could not charge dinning to your room.

Room floor was dirty and the room smelled like cat pee. The halls smelled like weed.

We had a great time at Ashore. Wonderful location, the staff was always welcoming and willing to answer any questions. The room was a nice size and I loved the beachy feel. Ate breakfast in the Tide Room and was impressed with the service and food. Although the weather wasn't perfect, the rest of our trip was. Will definitely go back to this hotel.

Most Front desk was rude, no shampoo or conditioner in room, they claim these rooms are oceanfront and then at front desk they say they was NO such thing as oceanfront rooms. You have an option to upgrade to premium ocean front and pay extra which is what I did...I got cheated 2X . First time I booked 2 rooms oceanfront...paid extra. No view. Second time city view...got concrete roof no sliding door or window that opened. No way to get fresh air in room. Barking dogs/noisy. No floor option for people without dogs. They said I didn't need parking permit then turned around and handed one to another person! I went back and got one. I have yet to get my receipt from hotel...they keep saying our internet is down can we email...no email has come to me yet! They overcharged me that last time and I'm still waiting to get my credit. Went downstairs to get suggestions for dinner options and she said I'm new to the area and and didn't have any idea where the restaurants. They said they were going to move us to another room and never did. Hairdryer had electrical sparks coming out. bathroom fan didn't work.

The resort was very nice and the staff was friendly. Food and beverage was a bit pricey, but I guess it was to be expected. My only hiccup was that I wanted to pay for my room using a different tender a check out and the associate had a difficult time trying to execute that. If it is because the booking was done via a third party, then that should probably be explained during booking. Otherwise my stay was fantastic and I would go again.

Ashore is a mid level hotel with nice amenities. Beach facing bars. Ocean view rooms aren’t guaranteed - check before you go in to the room. High floors with rooms ending in even numbers above 10 are best for ocean views, sun and to avoid dumpster pick up noise in the morning. Rooms are reasonable - not luxe. Balconies are not really balconies - a single chair might fit. But their outdoor amenities are pretty nice, chairs umbrellas beach side seating bikes for rent.

Great room location with ocean views, beach was close and fantastic to look at, closed to water goers due to medical waste washing up (not a hotel problem but should have been forewarned) when checking in, balcony was truly standing room only, sliding door could only be opened by myself with much effort. My wife couldn't open herself. Travelzoo ad said newly remodeled but had to be done quite some time ago. staff were all excellent, parking usually no avail due conference goers. parking should be for guest only first and conference goers should park across the street.

Ashore is in north Ocean C ity which for us was a plus. Not near the boardwalk. Very nice room. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

Excellent in every way. My only complaint is that the only tea offered in the restaurant is Lipton. If I'm going to pay $4.00 for tea I should have a choice of premium teas. A Lipton teabag costs 10 cents. Not would I expect from an upscale hotel restaurant.

Enjoyed cocktails served on the beach. Liked the coffee bar in the hotel shop. Rooms are okay - but desparately need a full-length mirror in the room though. Liked that there were extra places to hang towels, etc. Liked the view of the beach from the hotel.

We had a great trip to the beach. Room and hotel were beautiful. Kids enjoyed the pool. To get a good spot on the beach, get up early and join the queue to claim a spot with lounge chairs and umbrella from the hotel a bit before 8am. We went the first week of August, and the beach was packed!

Good value with solid rates and the waived resort fee. Bikes, umbrellas and beach chairs were nice. We stayed two nights and the housekeeping staff only replaced our towels. Bed was not made up, no more coffee provided, etc. We asked for a pair of glasses at the front desk and they said they would bring them up but never did. Also asked for more coffee at the front desk and they only had decaf.
