I presented my expired coupon for the Amaya restaurant that I paid $65.00 vs. $120.00 for Brunch and I alerted management that I had my expired coupn but the waiter yelled across the patio that it was expired and they were not taking it! I just left an email with the GM, Michael Malicdem at the Fairmont Del Mar to make him aware that the base vblue was still good and one should never feel like they are a grifter loser! Bizeen, the waiter is lovely but he made me feel horrible!

For the voucher they offer only a reduced menu. The salad I had was boring. The chilaquiles was just strong tomatillo flavor with nothing else to it.

Exceptional all around dining experience! The ambience at the Amaya in the Fairmont Grand Del Mar Hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels in Southern California. The food was exceptional as well!

The amount of food we received was impressive. We also loved the food options and that there were multiple courses. The entrees were particularly good. We only had three of us dining, and they offered to let us take food for a fourth person to-go.

The service was a little slow for the upscale-type experience. Our water glasses weren't kept filled and it took a while for our check to arrive. At one point, we were the only people indoor dining, so it shouldn't have been difficult for the service to be over-the-top excellent. If it would have been busy, I would have understood, but it wasn't. I would still go back here because the amount of food and the quality of the food was great for the price paid.
