Photos of the Coolest Hidden Beach You've Never Heard Of
You’ve likely heard of Puerto Vallarta, but have you heard of the Marieta Islands? Just offshore in Banderas Bay is this group of volcanic islands, and one of the most beautiful hidden beaches on Earth.

Much less known and perhaps even more breathtaking than its seaside neighbor, the Marieta Islands are an island paradise unlike any other. They were a favorite of renowned explorer Jacques Cousteau, who fought to get the islands protected as a national park - largely responsible for the abundance of marine life that still calls the islands home. Keeping with the islands’ conservationism, the “Hidden Beach” is only accessible by swimming through a 50-foot tunnel with only six feet of air space between water and rock.
