Back Again: Broadway’s Best Return to The Stage
The curtain will soon rise again on stages across New York City, more than a year after the lights went dark. Broadway is back and audiences return to theaters this fall. The best part? Fans can secure some of the best seats in the house with tickets now on sale for the hottest shows — including Tony-winning musicals, award-winning headliners and highly anticipated newcomers.
Shows are starting to announce performance dates for the 2021-22 season, with more still to come. Several theaters updated their ticket policies and safety protocols to make returning to The Great White Way as easy and comfortable as possible.

Waitress
Returns Sept. 2 to the Ethel Barrymore Theatre
Grammy winner and composer Sara Bareilles reprises her starring role as beloved pie-maker Jenna Hunterson, as "Waitress" is one of the first shows to return to the Broadway stage in early September. Based on the 2007 film, the musical features a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson and direction by Tony-Award winner Diane Paulus. "Waitress" is back on Broadway through January 9 , 2022 only, with Bareilles starring as Jenna through October 17.
Chicago

Celebrating 25 years on Broadway, the razzle dazzle is back with its universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz. "Chicago" is a New York City institution, with six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy and thousands of standing ovations on its rap sheet. Relive the story of two 1920s-era women who go from criminal to celebrity, paired with crowd-pleasing songs like "All That Jazz” and "Cell Block Tango" alongside the suggestive, sexy, syncopated choreography of Bob Fosse.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Revel in the spectacular spectacular with “Moulin Rouge! To Kill a Mockingbird

Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning “To Kill a Mockingbird” makes a comeback on Broadway with Jeff Daniels returning as Atticus Finch, and Celia Keenan-Bolger delivering her Tony Award-winning performance as Scout. This new adaptation by Aaron Sorkin is both “unmissable and unforgettable,” according to Rolling Stone, making it just as relevant as it was 60 years ago. Inspired by Lee’s childhood in Alabama, this classic courtroom and coming-of-age drama comes to life on stage for readers of all generations.
Freestyle Love Supreme
Returns Oct. 7 to the Booth Theatre
The hip-hop improv sensation “Freestyle Love Supreme” conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail and Anthony Veneziale returns to Broadway this fall with fresh rhymes every night. The unique production received a special 2020 Tony Award and was the subject of a Grammy-nominated Hulu documentary. Talented performers transform audience feedback into humorous bits, freestyle songs and musical numbers. Daniel Hillard, a struggling actor, proves he’ll do anything for his kids after losing custody in a divorce. The Phantom of the Opera

The Music Man
