Quality over Quantity: The Art of the Micro-Hotel
Arlo Hotels opened their first micro-hotel, Arlo Hudson, with the help of distinguished design firm AvroKo. Their compact-yet-sleek approach garnered the attention of Architectural Digest, which praised the group for turning small rooms into a selling point for modern travelers. What the rooms lack in space, they make up for in efficiency: picture folding desks, wardrobe hanging pegs and bespoke Jefferson beds with built-in storage. The spacious communal spaces, which were designed to encourage interaction between guests and connection on a community level, are the pulse of the property.
Here's an inside look at the world's first 4-star micro-hotel and an exclusive Travelzoo deal saving 45% on rates at the Arlo Hudson Hotel.
Floor-to-ceiling windows with shade controls make the rooms feel bright and open.

Upgraded terrace rooms offer double the space with the addition of a 200-square-foot private balcony, complete with an outdoor shower.

The design scheme centers on efficiency, and as such, all 10 public spaces are multi-functional. For instance, during the day, the Living Room offers a comfortable setting for a communal work space.

During the night, it can transition into a free-flowing event space leading into the private courtyard and Arlo Liquor Bar.

The hotel converted its rooftop into an indoor/outdoor bar and terrace. In summertime, guests can enjoy libations outside with views of the Hudson River and One World Trade.

They've even elevated the quality of the on-site Bodega by stocking it with cups of JOE coffee, chef-prepared meals and a variety of sought-after local snacks, including sweets from Nunu and Cacao Prieto. As part of the Travelzoo deal, Travelzoo members receive 15% off at Bodega.

For $109 per night through mid-March, Travelzoo members save 45% on rates at the Arlo Hudson Hotel and receive a guaranteed room upgrade. Dates through April have also been discounted. Book now or use Travelzoo's hotel search to find more New York City hotel deals.
