It was a very special place to stay with great view and great ambience. Everything was beyond expectations!

Pool was nice, but furniture around pool was cracked plastic dirty white chairs, messy pool rooms

Excellent service and excellent food …. Love the old fashion decor. However the bathroom needs to be updated.

The hotel is a remarkable place out of the history books. Plenty of old world charm. They are in the process of completing much needed upgrades but tbere was nothing that detracted from our stay. The breakfast was outstanding and meals in Churchills Restaurant were beyond expectations. Staff & service were also.outstanding. overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience at a very affordable price.

Would love to come back in golf season to experience what looks to be a world class golf course!

The only issue we had was the elevator was broken, the staff did offer us a ground floor room.

Being the Pool is fair distance from the Hotel and most Hotels at this level supply Robes. I suggest the management look at putting robes for their guess in their rooms.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location, in beautuful nature, was a short drive to Digby. On site the trails and pool were enjoyable and easily accessible; the pool was lovely and warm. The food was delicious and service excellent. The experience was very relaxing.

We enjoyed the view from our room. It was lovely to stay in a vintage property such as this and it was so nice to have a welcome card, ciders and a voucher for breakfast waiting for us.

Our experience with booking for dinner was less than stellar. When we arrived at our booking time of 7:30 the hostess told us they were clearing some tables and that we could sit in the bar outside the restaurant then I saw her seat someone after telling us this and we didn't get seated until 7:45 then when we went back to our room I noticed in my inbox that my confirmed booking of 7:30 online had been changed to 7:45 but it wasn't changed until 7:49 so I'm not sure what that was about but I didn't appreciate it. Our experience at breakfast was much more pleasant and the server was delightful

Great value for the dollar.

It was a lovely hotel, very classy and exudes turn of the century charm. the breakfast was wonderful and the staff very friendly.

Basically any public area looks like they’ve gone through some update renovation so it looks nice, but not the rooms themselves.

We were asked to wait 50 minute after the check in time (4pm which is already later than most hotels) because our room wasn’t ready. We were also not provided any explanation or even eta for waiting - but were simply told ‘you can go wait in the lobby’. Finally when we got into our room, it smelt awful despite being supposedly just cleaned. We couldn’t take it and asked to be changed to another room, and were given another one immediately without question. The new room smells normal, but was also falling apart: holes on headboard, peeling off ceilings, mole in the bathroom, and more.

Room was very dated and need of an update. Hard to tell if it was clean or not. No housekeeping for a 2 night stay.

Restaurant (on site) was above average. Room was small, ancient and in great need of renovating. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent buffet breakfast

The Digby Pines is my favourite place to stay in all of Nova Scotia. The hotel has an amazing old world charm, rooms are clean and comfortable, but by far the best part is the staff--they are unlike any other place I have ever been and really make the Pines feel like home.

If you are questioning whether to stay here, don't--bring your swim suit to hang out in the pool, book your pedicure, bring your book to read while enjoying a cold glass of wine while overlooking the grounds in the sun room or take a walk on the nature trail--this hotel has something for everyone!
