Why We're Partnering with WE Charity to Make Travel More Meaningful
A passport and a dream, a bucket-list trip and a great price, a good deed and a meaningful experience. Some things in life were meant to be together. That's why Travelzoo is proud to be teaming up with WE, a movement of extraordinary people coming together to create a better world.
Founded by Canadians Marc and Craig Kielburger, WE Charity is helping to lift millions out of poverty in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In Canada, the U.S. and the U.K., WE Day, WE Schools and the ME to WE social enterprise provide learning programs and volunteer travel opportunities to over 16,000 schools, engaging and inspiring 3.8 million young changemakers and their families.
In our new global partnership, Travelzoo and WE will join forces to enrich people's lives by embracing new experiences that give back.
As the partnership rolls out, you can look forward to stories of passionate individuals creating change in their communities and across the world, plus tips on how you and your family can get involved. We’ll explore the idea of volunteer travel and show you how it adds deeper meaning to venturing abroad.
Plus, since everyone loves prizes, we’re kicking things off with a contest. Travelzoo and WE are inviting members across Canada to tell us about a recent volunteer experience -- whether it was travelling abroad or right in your own community. Share your story for a chance to win a pair of tickets to WE Day, a celebration of people committed to making a difference. A total of 10 winners will be selected, and your entry could be featured by Travelzoo. Click the image below to learn more!
Want to learn more about WE? We went to the two brothers who started it all -- when they were teenagers, in fact -- to talk about giving back, life on the road (they travel over 300 days a year) and how Travelzoo members can benefit from this new relationship.
