Nice location but breakfast was a zoo, with limited seating for number of guests. Also there are birds everywhere on the breakfast patio. The small pool was closed

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond — warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. They truly made us feel like VIPs.
The room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in — perfect after a day of exploring. Waking up to ocean breezes on the balcony was such a dream.
One of the best perks was the complimentary breakfast — a delicious variety of fresh options every morning, from eggs and bacon to fresh fruit, pastries, and hot coffee — the perfect way to start the day!
And the location — absolutely AMAZING! Just one block from Waikiki Beach, with endless restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance. You truly can’t beat it.
If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and five-star service without the five-star price tag, Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is the place to stay. We can’t wait to come back!

The staff at Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is truly what sets this hotel apart! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm aloha spirit and genuine hospitality. Every single team member — from the front desk to housekeeping and breakfast attendants — was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on their face.
They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, offering great local recommendations and making us feel right at home. It’s clear that customer service is a top priority here, and their positive energy made our stay unforgettable.
The staff’s kindness and attention to detail made all the difference — we left feeling like part of the family. We can’t wait to come back!

We have stayed at Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach several times. Booking through TravelZoo was the most economical way we have found to arrange for our visits. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel location is very convenient, only a short couple of blocks to the beach and close to most amenities.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach Hotel! The staff were wonderful! The Lobby is beautiful and welcoming and the location is in easy walking distance to the beach and waterfront stores and restaurants!

The downside was the very tiny old pool. No outdoor Hawaiian feel or ambiance around the pool area for what is considered a Resort with Resort FEES. The cement decking is really old and unmaintained and the entire area is just not pretty in any way. No hot tub either- so basically Just don't count on swimming or sitting by a pool there and you will not be disappointed.

Very comfortable stay-nice rooms and bedding. Breakfast was pretty good. I’d just go a bit more upscale if I were traveling on my own.

Great stay. Re-painting the pool deck would REALLY make a difference as it looked terrible and brought down the vibe.

Great location, one block from the beach on the Diamond Head side of Waikiki. Excellent lobby staff, housekeeping, full breakfast and bar/snack area in lobby. Public transportation on corner to take you to Pearl Harbor, shopping centers, airport and harbor areas for $3 each way ($1.25 for seniors with Medicare cards). Small pool but a protected beach is only a block away.

My booking through Travelzoo said we’d pay a reduced “resort fee” of $10 per day instead of $35. The hotel ended up charging us an unexpected $35 “destination fee”per day instead.
