Overall was good resort. Rooms and resort is a bit dated and older but it is clean and the common area like the lobby and restaurants are more up to date. Would definitely go back for a quick quiet getaway.

Hockley Resort caters to corporate groups which is what happened while we were there. Bar area (Babbo) was inaccessible before dinner, too busy with a crowd of 50. Being a rainy day the outdoor patio of Babbo (lovely) was closed and The Cabin was also closed on Wednesday. We had dinner elsewhere.
Due to a large corporate group, we had a buffet breakfast in their larger room which looks tired, dark and need a good revamp. The group had gone earlier prior to their meeting, so we showed up around 9:30 so it would not be so busy. The food had been made earlier, so the hot items were cool, many items not replenished or a small quantity was left over. We had the fresh bread for toasts and lovely croissants as well as coffee with their preserve. I must say that we are not really buffet people, but also did not enjoy the room the breakfast was served in.

The staff is lovely and courteous. Excellent customer service. The hotel is very clean.
The view from our balcony was beautiful. Hockley valley is a beautiful area for golfing, hiking. The room we were in could also use a little refresh and colours.
The SPA is lovely, the pool area is fine and the workout room is okay, quite small and cramped.

There were alot of little misses.
- wine wasn’t provided as part of the booking. We had to ask for it later in the day
- no soap in the room (had to ask)
- no coffee cream (had to ask at the bar)
- went to book a spa treatment . It closed early
- one restaurant was closed
- the Adamo experience wasn’t good. We went over for a wine tasting and nobody was there to help so we left .
Hockley is a great place and i have been many times (mostly corporate events) but we really wanted to relax and enjoy the hotel. Everything seemed to be harder than it should have been.

We are a senior couple (77 and 84). We like little getaways for 2 nights.. This was perfect. Room was spacious. Breakfast was excellent. We ate our dinners in the bar/lounge which offered a limited menu. Next time we go there we will go from Wednesday to Sunday because their main dining room is also excellent. Thanks.

Beautiful location and excellent service but the room are a bit tired....the bed was a minute away from being just a pillow as there was no support in the mattress. It was also very noisy, we could hear people in the next room talking, road noise and the mechanical equipment going on and off, A quieter room would induce us to return more swiftly

Absolutely loved the hotel, our room was perfect quite large and beautiful views. Our only complaint was service and food at the bar.My husband waited close to 15 minutes for a beer and finally had to yell at someone to get some service. Most unorganized bar we have ever seen.Food choices were very poor and once we did get something it wasn’t very appetizing and very small portion and expensive. If we go back again we would definitely try the dining room and see if the food is better there.

Unfortunate for us the indoor pool, sauna and hot tub were not in service. The hiking trails are not on the resort as you would thing from their advertising. The staff were very good. The food at the breakfast and Babbitt were good.

It would have been helpful if the resort had contacted us before our arrival and informed us that only the bar restaurant was available to dine in and that the indoor pool was not operational.

The decor, fixtures and fittings in our room were very dated. We hope that the resort's new owners will invest in upgrading and modernizing them.

We were warmly welcomed at the resort, and were told clearly about the amenities. We were the only ones who used the indoor pool and hot tub. We also had a massage at the Spa, which was amazing.

The food choice at the Baboo restaurant was very limited. That was the only downside.

Beautiful location and lovely experience! More attention to small details, like filling shampoo containers would be appreciated and a body wash or soap container in shower would be great! Had to use shampoo to wash as therecwas no other option!

There was a lack of hot water in our room and a cold shower is not good. The resort needs a renovation as some areas are looking a little old. There was not a fridge in the room, unusual in a resort of this quality.

Since it was our first visit it would have been nice when we checked in to be given some information about the resort. I.e. restaurant details, breakfast details. General layout of the resort. Perhaps a map of the resort.
