My train to Toronto was delayed by 14 hrs. Since i was only going for 2 nights i cancelled the trip. Hotel Victoria would only wave the cancellation fee for the 2nd nite. Technically correct but given that i had no control over the situation not very “user friendly”. I’ve stayed there many times pre-covid and was looking forward to re-establishing the relationship. Now i will look elsewhere.

Hotel was very clean, not super busy so check in was easy. Staff were very welcoming and the vibe of the hotel was great. Our room definitely felt a little small and we just looked out onto a brick wall but that’s to be expected when you book through travel sites sometimes. But the room has everything you need and if you’re just using it to sleep then it’s great!

Great location and a nice vibe. Room was very small and the missing small extras mattered. Courteous staff.

I really liked how close it was to Union station and the subway station. The lobby decor was elegant and inviting.

My room was street facing on the second floor right beside the elevator. Upon checking into my room I noticed how loud not only the street was (Yonge St.) but also the elevator (beeping at every floor). The two sounds combined made it rather noisy. I never do this but I went back to front desk to ask to move rooms, I was told while I could move up a level, all the Travelzoo rooms were street facing and beside the elevator - which would have been nice to know when purchasing this deal (worst rooms available). I also was told by staff that the coffee and danish that were included in the package deal was for “only one day”, I had to show them where it said “daily” on the package deal - I was still questioned and told they would have to speak with management first - this fuss was all made over my request for a single drip small coffee. The TV’s also didn’t work properly, one night I was able to log into my Disney channel, the next night it would just go to black screen, there were no streaming services or cable channels offered by the hotel.

We both had a wonderful stay at the Victoria hotel. Very central to many tourist attractions. Had a very enjoyable two night stay at the hotel and also learned a little bit about the history of the hotel . We will definitely return maybe in the summer

We had breakfast in the two little rooms just inside the main entrance, Very enjoyable. The windows at the front could do with a cleaning to let more sunshine in.

THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS GREAT FOR GETTING AROUND DOWNTOWN TORONTO. UNFORTUNATELY WE WILL PROBABLY NOT BE RE-VISITING THIS HOTEL IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN OUR SECOND VISIT. WE CAME DOWN TO BREAKFAST AT 9:00 AND THERE NO PASTRIES LEFT FOR BREAKFAST . WE WERE NOT OFFERED ANY ALTERNATIVE FOR BREAKFAST. WE ASKED IF COULD HAVE THE YOGURT PARFAIT AS A SUBSTITUTE BUT THEY INITIALLY REFUSED OUR REQUEST. THEY SAID WE WOULD HAVE TO PURCHASE THEM. EVENTUALLY THEY ACQUIESCED AND GAVE US EACH A YOGURT PARFAIT. STAFF WERE NEW ON THE JOB AND SEEMED UNWILLING TO OFFER US AN ALTERNATIVE FOR BREAKFAST. WE DID SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER BUT WE WERE LEFT VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE. WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A NICE CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR MY WIFE TURNED INTO A VERY DISAPPOINTING TIME.
