Hotel was under construction which I was not aware of when booking. I am a light sleeper so no way I could stay. Staff understood and cancelled my reservation without charge.

Loved our one bedroom suite. It must have been recently updated as the decor was fresh and clean. The suite, especially the washroom, was very spacious. The front desk staff was so accommodating, we walked down the street to surprise them with some Craig cookies.

The harbour activity quieted down during sleep time hours. Fun to watch the activity.

Upon check-in we were advised that the elevator was out of service in the wing we were booked into. Therefore we were placed in a room one floor below the lobby. Turns out we were on the floor where housekeeping is located. Essentially, we were in the basement. I was not impressed.

The hotel rooms are tired. The beds were very comfortable. Self-serve parking across the street was easy. The day after we checked out I realized I left my yoga jacket hanging in the back of the bathroom door. We went back 30 hours after checking out and asked at the front desk if it had been turned in - and yes, they had it in a bag, tagged with our room number. I was very impressed with the honesty of the staff in this incidence. Top marks!

An absolutely fantastic experience. The hotel location is perfect - close to everything and an amazing view of the narrows. The room was modern and clean and had all we needed for our vacation. Best of all were the staff - everyone of them helpful, friendly and professional.

We had a trip of a lifetime and truly felt like we were home in St John’s, courtesy of the staff at the hotel. Will certainly be back.
