The location is beautiful, food was excellent, plentiful and not overpriced and the staff were friendly, professional and delightful. Our only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer (our own fault!). Highly recommended.

For any travellers who want a west coast oceanfront experience and find Tofino difficult to book or getting too expensive, this is definitely a fabulous alternative. It will be our “go to” from now on.

The receptionist at first meeting gave a good account of what to see and do, and where to go for meals.

Hotel and room was basic and very spartan. There is a cleaning "fragrance" that is used by the cleaners and this is irritating to the lungs. I would rather that no substances that have any fragrance at all be used in the rooms. The breakfast was spartan with minimal (exceedingly basic) items available, and things offered such as jam, and chocolate-covered nuts were extremely stale. The jam was so old that it had congealed into an unrecognizable mess. Butter was not even available.

Been 7 or more times. Very nice getaway close to Vancouver. Can’t beat the view if you like to relax by the ocean.

It’s a fantastic spot! Our cabin was quite old but Reno’s are happening currently. We are booked to stay in the tents in Sept.
That will be truly amazing
Loved the place though

It is a beautiful location and would have been a lovely escape from the City if not for the construction work, the issues with my cabin, and the staff not being upfront about the situation so that I could make an informed decision.
The outdoor pool was open and that was nice.
The tenthouse suites are very nice, but it is a long way to haul your things from the car along the ramps, up/down inclines and steps, so anyone planning to stay there should be aware of that.

I went there specifically for what looked like a quiet, peaceful escape from the City. When I booked, I was not advised that they would be doing renovations on the cabins around the dates I selected, so when I got there, I was told the cabin #11 I had specifically booked was not available and I could choose another one or move to a tenthouse suite. I had looked at the tenthouse suites before booking but it is a long way from the car along wooden ramps, up and down significant inclines and steps (at least a 10 minute walk), and as a solo female traveler, I thought it would be too far to haul all of my bags, cooler, etc., and thought another cabin would be the best option for me. They showed me a couple cabins which were not properly finished, for example, one smelled toxic from construction glues, paint, etc; one had holes where light fixtures should be; and the cabin I chose looked finished, but the hot water was not working, the toilet seat was broken, and a roof plank from above the deck fell down and almost hit me on the head when I was sitting outside on the first night.
HOWEVER, what I was NOT told is that construction workers would be arriving at 8:30 am the next morning to renovate the cabin right next to mine, and for at least 2 days until 6-7pm, with hammers, power tools, saws, and completely eliminating any privacy to sit on the deck by the water even if I had wanted to, given the constant noise. IF THEY HAD TOLD ME at any point that they were doing renovations in the cabin right next to the one I chose, I would have taken them up on the move to a tenthouse suite and may have thought to ask if they could help me carry my things out there - which they had not offered to do. But they did not tell me about the construction work, and so I was not able to make an informed choice and had a very disrupted, noisy, disappointing stay that was not the peaceful and relaxing escape I was hoping for, or had paid for. I complained and said I should be refunded for one night but was told by the front desk that they did not have the authority to do that. I have emailed the General Manager but have heard nothing back.

We did have a lovely weekend on the ocean. I love to see that there are improvements being made at the resort and updates to the outside of the cabins although I think that there is more that needs to be done to clean up the inside of the cabin. We had a lot of mold in the windows and the chairs need to be replaced. The cleaning of the basics was good and the bed was comfortable but there are details that could be improved on. The hand towel holder fell off of the wall and the doorhandle to the bathroom was very loose and a hole in the door are some of the examples. I was glad that it was a reduced rate for the room and glad to visit again if improvements continue to be made.
