Voucher cancellation & refund policy: Within 14 days of purchase, Travelzoo will give you a full refund if you change your mind or can't find dates that suit you. Once you book your dates, changes and cancellations are subject to the hotel's cancellation or rescheduling policy and may result in a fee or voucher forfeiture. You must cancel your reservation directly with the hotel prior to refunding your voucher. Vouchers can be refunded online by going to "My Account.” After 14 days your voucher becomes non-refundable. The dinner at Zee's Grill was excellent as was the service. We went to watch the play, My Fair Lady.
The Shaw Club is located right across the street from the Festival Theatre. It made it sooooo convenient.
It was also within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in the historic downtown. It was a lovely time.

The Shaw Club needs some updating and renovations. Rooms are boring and outdated, service was nothing special...unable to check in early even though hotel was empty and once you stay at the Prince of Wales this becomes just a below average experience. The two positives were the breakfast at Zee's Grill, simply excellent and the returning guest gifts provided by the hotel.

Our room 301 had a TV which had a very bad connection. We came because we wanted to watch the Super Bowl. but our TV wasn't working so we went to our friends room. The girl on duty Hannah came up to try to fix it as the repair man was working on the TV that afternoon had problems with the TV. But although Hannah tried she was not successful. Also the arm chair in the room needs to have a new seat. The seat sags way down when you sit in the chair. No security on the far north door to the upper level of the rooms. You need to check this.

We had a really fabulous time. A group of three friends enjoying a girls mini-break. Spent two nights mid-week so it was relatively quiet at the hotel, Zees Restaurant and walking around Niagara-on-the-Lake. Our rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Loved the beds!

The staff at the hotel were exceptional and could not do enough to ensure that our stay was first class. We asked if there was a table we could use to play cards in one of our rooms and the young receptionist (Elicia) went to great lengths to personally get a suitable table that she delivered in person to our room. We were so very grateful. Breakfast and Dinner at Zees (the on-sight restaurant) was “fabulous”. Restaurant Staff were so friendly and made the dining experience really pleasant. Superb menu and delicious meals. We have already decided that we will be going back - hopefully later this year.

The rooms could do with a little sprucing up, but were okay for a night or two.

Nice hotel. Needs some updates. Wallpaper was peeling. Nespresso machine didn’t work. Light in wall unit wouldn’t turn off so we had to cover it with a towel. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious.

Our room was nice but the toilet would run every hour on the hour no matter what we did. The room was so hot. We had the air conditioning full blast but still warm. Made it hard to sleep. We had dinner in Zees and it was like being in sauna!!! It was so hot! They had the fireplace on and after a half hour they finally shut it off. There was a group of 8 people in there that was so loud it ruined the ambience. We ate as fast as we could to get out of there.

Very nice hotel. Meal was excellent. Server was amazing. The young hostess was disinterested and should learn how to greet guests. Front desk ( night staff) was very nice. Shuttle service took a while so we called an Uber. Over all a really nice experience. The hotel isn’t as fancy as Queens Landing or Pillar and Post, but it’s quiet and elegant.

Our server Jenn in the Zees restaurant was properly trained and treated us well, however, knowing we were celebrating our anniversary, we were not offered a complimentary drink or anything special. It would have been a nice gesture on the part of the hotel or restaurant. We did enjoy our dinner

My husband and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and chose this hotel as we had heard good things. We normally go to Queens Landing or the Oban Inn but thought we'd change it up this time. Our welcome was underwhelming to say the least, the front desk clerk did not explain anything about the hotel and amenities (we found out very quickly there are no amenities with the exception of a restaurant), nothing special was provided ( ie welcome gift/ bottle of sparkling wine to acknowledge our anniversary). We have regularly stayed at Queens Landing and the staff there are always welcoming and accommodating and will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is pleasurable (sparkling wine on ice, fresh roses on your pillow at turn down, to name a few). We thought the Shaw Club was part of the Vintage Hotel group and if it is, it is sadly lacking in all areas. The Shaw Club has no ambiance and I would not waste my money going there again. You are spending a lot of money for a basic hotel room and nothing else. There is nothing special about this hotel.
