Room and overrall experience was amazing as always, but our experinece at the Winston Churchill Lounge was not great. Service Sunday evening was extremely slow. My food came and was cold and had to be replaced. We waited twenty minutes just for a waiter to even greet us. Piano player got up to go get someone because he felt bad.

A supervisor should wander through floors occasionally. We arrived mid afternoon and there is a table on 2nd floor with roses on that had been very dead for several days. There was also empty wine buckets and leftover room service food. This was not removed until the following morning.
In addition, several times there were several cleaning staff in the area just sitting on the chairs by the dead roses but never bothered removing. Very unusual for this hotel.

Over the decades, we have stayed at everyone of the Vintage/Niagara's Finest Inns. The Prince of Wales is by far the classiest of them all. Seasonal decor is always exceptional. The staff are very professional and continually strive to make any visit an outstanding experience. A bit of pomp & circumstance is a welcome escape from today's world of casual everything.

Stayed at the hotel after attending a play at the Festival Theatre. Very close proximity so we could walk. The hotel is historic and beautiful. Food services are excellent and the rooms are nicely appointed. Great deal through Travelzoo.

The Prince of Wales hotel has a great location with great staff. Although a bit pricey, the convenience it offered is out of this world. Great spa, excellent breakfast location, and right in the heart of Niagara on the lake.

I didn't like the fact that the shower handle slid down because the clamp wouldn't hold it up. And the Wifi didn't work at times. But I was too lazy to mention these things and just worked around them. However, I was very pleased the hotel let us park there after we checked out so that we could see a play. Lots of class on their part.

Of course the town of NOTL is beautiful at any time. The hotel is absolutely lovely. We had a couple meals there. Enjoyed a play at the Royal George Theatre which was walking distance to the hotel. The hotel offered a transport van for those who needed it.

The room itself was beautiful and the bathroom was huge and well-appointed. There were 2 very mild issues:
1. We worried that we would get a ‘crappy’ room because we were using a Travelzoo voucher. And while the room was really very nice, it was dark and the view was of a small, yucky lower top of a roof of sorts looking directly at dirty windows, a door and some steel building structure on a higher roof. Should have taken a picture. It was room 220. There was only the one window and we had to have the lights on at all times. But we were only there for one night and because we had the voucher we felt it was not reasonable to complain. I don’t believe we could have been as reasonable about this if we were there for several days. Truly, a view of the parking lot would have been better.
2. One of the meals included a cheese and meats platter. Very nicely presented and plentiful, but the two soft cheeses (of 3 on the board) were hard when they should have been buttery. Disappointing. We did mention this to our server who said the kitchen told him, understandably, they could not leave cheeses out to soften properly. Perhaps they should consider offering other types of cheeses? Again, not a huge issue but we would not order this again.
Overall, a lovely experience. Might we have been assigned that room because we had the Travelzoo voucher? Is this common?

Great hotel. Loved the breakfast. We booked through travel zoo and asked for a room with a fireplace. When we arrived, we were given a fireplace overlooking the parking lot on the first floor. I’m satisfactory. After quite a bit of time we were put in another room in the main building without a fireplace. Disappointing.
