Cancun Vacations
Before Mexico’s government handpicked Cancun as the “ideal tourist destination” for mega hotel construction in the 1970s, this Yucatan beach town was the gateway to the Mayan World. The 14-mile stretch of white sand beaches carves a number “7” into the turquoise sea and is home to archaeological wonders in addition to resorts, shops and nightclubs. Each March and early April, the peninsula’s shores are invaded by spring breaker. For a quieter trip, visit in late spring, a sweet spot between peak season and sweltering summer.
