"Seems like the hotel must be in midst of redo/redevelopment with few guests for size of property and limited restaurant/bar options. The hotel was nice but in a neighborhood with few things to do and the hotel only had 1 restaurant open each for dinner and lunch so need a car to go out for at least some meals if there more than a couple of days. Unfortunately the front desk didn’t have a list of restaurants in town so have to ask front desk to write some down. It is a 10-15 min drive to town. Voyage 47 Club good in concept but breakfast was so-so for continental breakfast and happy hour drinks were not very good. Beds very soft and if you like a firmer pillow, housekeeping will bring it to you. Grounds and pool are pretty and ability to see the Manta Rays off the viewing deck was cool."

The outrigger was wonderful. This vacation felt like a “choose your own adventure” without me having to manage any logistics. We had 11 people in our party and each one of us was very happy with what the outrigger had to offer.

The whole property was amazing!!! So beautiful!!!! I liked that it wasn’t in the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona but only a short ride away. Thanks to Travelzoo we got a package that included valet, no resort fee and access to Odyssey 47 where we could eat breakfast for free and have afternoon lupus and drinks. The rooms are update so nicely and the staff was wonderful. I was able to wash our clothes on property on the 7th floor. We did the luau and it was pricey but it was well done and the food was great. If you book the Sea Paradise Snorkel to Captain Cook the dock is right around the corner.

We were visiting to celebrate our 60th birthdays. Overall we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The hotel is in a fabulous location. The only slight disappointment is the signs of aging & weathering the resort is beginning to show. Hopefully reinvestment will be made to renew the vigor of this awesome property
