Some of the prices were ridiculous. $30 for a glass to pour your wine in - gimme a break!

I love staying in this iconic hotel. I’m a fan of the movie ‘Sideways’ so it makes me smile to stay in the same place featured in it.

Nicely renovated and large rooms. Great gym, pool and spa. Rooms need blankets though, I’m a warm sleeper and I was cold at night in April. Breakfast is odd, why make people choose between a hard boiled egg and a piece of bread, spend the extra 50$¢ and let them have both.

The room was very quiet even though the Inn is right next to the freeway. It seemed to recently be updated and it was very clean. The free continental breakfast was delivered to our room which was a really nice feature.

Have been to Sideways Inn multiple times. It's always a great experience. Located next to Flying Flags RV park, they share amenities so went to hear music at FF in the evening and hit the Sideways spa after. Also central to the numerous wineries. Rooms are well kept but there is some work needed on the 2nd floor decking.

Great location for attending our family event. Very impressed with the RV Park on the grounds! Walking distance to Ellen's Pancakes, marvelous breakfast spot! Enjoyed watching others enjoying the campfires around the property.

Clean, modern rooms with mini refrigerator/freezer and microwave. Comfortable bed. Nice pool and spa as well as some fire-pits. Hotel is next to the freeway so some rooms are noisier than others. Well-appointed gym. There is no continental breakfast but lobby has coffee. Given the reasonable price, I would consider booking there again.

I was there with a friend… not a couple!!! You need to put an “other” box to choose from… My friend and I had a lovely stay!!!
Although, I did have an unpleasant experience with a young man acting as a bartender… I have the email address for the manager of the Saloon and I will take it up with her…

The room was old and dingy with a sporadically working television, it was next to the Freeway and the landscapers started working at 7:30am everyday. Breakfast was horrible and the lobby had no place to just sit and play some board games.

This is an excellent option if you want to visit Solvang but don't want to pay the hotel prices there. It is about a 15 minute drive to the center of Solvang, just across the 101 freeway. The rooms have been renovated. The mattress was very comfortable. There is a large pool and spa there as well as a bar you can visit. Two things I didn't like: First the continental breakfast was awful. You get a choice between a donut or a bagel, a bottle of juice, and an orange or an apple. They deliver it to your door in the morning. Of course, they list many other things you can order but you have to pay for them. The second thing I didn't like was the TV reception. I don't think the Inn subscribes to sufficient bandwidth as my picture was constantly freezing or tileing. Very annoying!

Cons: the bed/pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Complimentary breakfast was disappointing—- you order online and it is brought to you, which is nice, but you’re limited to juice, a piece of fruit and a donut/bagel.

Everything was easy. Check-in was a breeze and when the desk clerk stated a higher price than I expected, I gently reminded him that mine was a TravelZoo reservation where he could wave the resort fee, and he promptly removed the extra charge.
Room was pretty good. The fridge/freezer was larger than expected and came in very handy.
King bed was ok. Could go for a new mattress or some kind of topper, but that didn’t impede my getting a good night of sleep.
The proximity to hwy 101 was super close and convenient. The flip side is hearing hwy noise, which wasn’t bothersome for me.
All in all, I would stay again.

Cute hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The pool/spa area was clean. My only complaint was the mattress was obviously very well broken in (noticeable indentations on each side from a lot of people sleeping on it). But, besides that everything was good.
