Enjoyed Most

Everything went very smoothly from booking the reservation, to check in, all the way to check out. Every staff member was courteous, kind and helpful. Only small complaint was the oddly shaped shower - great water pressure, but difficult to get in and out of, and find room to soap up where you weren't in the stream of the water! Otherwise great!

Special shout out to the evening bartender in Amuse (Roberto). He was so kind and helpful to me and my aunt, and made great drinks! You are lucky to have him on staff there!

There was a "water leak" we weren't told where, but maintenance knocked on our door and asked to come in to check for the source of a leak. It was quick, they apologized, but it would of been nice to have a heads up from the front desk.

Only stayed one night with two children under five. Fantastic hotel staff, extremely clean, great location for walkability to restaurants and shopping, and we had an AMAZING view of the river, lake, and Navy Pier! Only complaint was the stress of self parking in their garage, but once that was over, loved our stay!

All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. The casual bar/breakfast Amuse was never open. Staff had varying excuses but always promised it would be open the following day. It never was. The hotel shop had a very minimal offering of any type of food items. It was extremely cold outside during our visit. Even a small bottle of milk would have been helpful.

My experience at the Swissotel was most enjoyable especially due to the very helpful and respectable staff. Even the parking valet had a kind and welcoming word each day even though I had no car there. It was a nice touch. I had a wonderful stay at the Swissotel and look forward to returning soon.

I booked Swisshotel for a 1 night staycation and had a very enjoyable experience. Great hotel in a great location right off of the lake. Nice bar scene and they have a good looking restaurant in which I did not get a chance to try. The room itself was really nice and spacious. Had a good view and bed was really comfy. The only issue I would call out is that the shower was very small so unless you're really small people, its a hassle to shower together lol! We ordered room service the next day and the breakfast sandwich was really good...ham, eggs, cheese and avocado on a croissant. I would definitely stay here again...really good hotel

We like the Swissotel. Good location, nice rooms, and when we’ve stayed here, we’ve done so at a good price. And while I was too lazy to use it, the fitness area has tremendous views.

Well, here’s one: when we arrived, the person checking us in supplied two drink coupons. We were about to use them at the adjacent bar, but he said that was closed (looked pretty open to us). He said they could only be used at the self service location right behind him (for alcohol, juice, whatever). The next morning I grabbed two juice items and presented the coupons to another person at the desk, but she said they could only be used at the bar. Kind of a mixed message; I simply responded, “What are these actually good for?” As I walked away empty handed, she said I could take the items. Geez. And the day before the original guy said we had $15 to use for breakfast. We thought after all this they’d probably look at us like we were nuts if we told them to take $15 off our breakfast bill, so we went elsewhere. Oh, and we had zero hot water available to us in Room 3417, so I thought I would tell the person in the morning (you know, the one that said the opposite of what the first person said about the coupons), just so they might know about something that did affect a room but might have been an entire floor or building problem. Guess I was looking for something like “We’re very sorry about that. Next time let us know and we’ll be right up to take care of things.” I really got more of a chastisement, or at least that’s how we took it, when she replied, “You could have contacted us.” Just a bad sounding delivery, but we let it slide. As if we wanted to follow up a lovely dinner and visit to a jazz club by having a plumber join us in our room so we’d have hot water to wash our faces with. Long story short, of course we’d come back, but as we said at breakfast somewhere else, “Swissotel needs to get their act together.”
