Check in was a breeze. The gentleman at the desk upsold us on a full oceanview room, and one just happened to be available at the time we came in, late morning. Oh surprise! But that's OK, the room was large and comfortable, and the view amazing. Disappointed in the poor quality of coffee/coffee machine in room. Fort a "resort", I expected better. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

The overall look of the place is a bit tired, but there is a sign in the lobby about renovation work in progress. So maybe in a year or two, the place will feel fresh and new.

The hotel is Beautiful! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. There are many amenities available within the Hotel! Everything isn’t walking distance, which was a plus for us. Room service was great, the restaurant had great choices and every meal we had was delicious! We were so pleased with the entire experience. We are definitely coming back!

Hotel was well locvated. Staff was very nice. Room was very nice. Had lunch in restaurant and the food was good and fair priced. Pool was super nice and skywalk to beach was great. Weather was windy so we didnt get a chance to enjoy it as myuch as we would have had it been less windy and more suuny.

Overall good experience. Tinta and Lona restaurants at the hotel are excellent and reasonably priced. One major complaint, however, was that billing for the restaurants appeared on my card as the “Westin resort spa”. I actually cancelled my AMEX card thinking someone was falsely charging my card at the spa. Turns out they were my restaurant purchases. These charges should either drop the word “spa” or better yet just show the name of the restaurant. To be clear I was not paying with my room card, I was using my credit card. Very confusing and certainly could have been explained better by the front desk when I questioned them about the charges.

Went for a four day vacation. Valet/ hotel entrance is very chaotic. There is not enough room for the amount of vehicles present. Hotel check in was smooth and easy with the help from Stefan from Holland. Valet named Storm was very informative about the hotel on the way to our room with our luggage. Room was adequate. Air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool at times. Bathroom door and bathroom window were antiquated, ( not much bathroom privacy). Pool was alright, except when needing towels. My wife requested 4 towels from towel guy. He said he could only give us two because that is all that was registered. We had two adults and two teens. He was rather rude especially after we had already spent $150 at the pool. Coffee/ snack area in main tower was great with reasonably priced good food. Starbucks is in second tower and has a nice area outside to view the ocean. Hotel had a nice location across from the beach. Food was expensive in the area. Family of four meals averaged around $175. Many restaurants in this area automatically include gratuities even for small parties.

We wanted to try their main restaurant the first night we were there. We told the hostess we had four and she preceded to head us outside. If was very hot out that evening and we told her we preferred to stay inside. The lady scheduling tables didn’t seem to like that and copped a quick attitude. They ended up sitting us in a room that wasn’t be used. There was availability in the main part, but they didn’t sit us there. Several times from our table we could hear loud cussing ( f bombs) from the kitchen. The food and waitress were fine. After the negative experience, we did not return to this restaurant. It would have been nice to have been welcomed on our first night, but instead they made us feel like outcast.

The hotel is right on the strip of Fort Lauderdale where if you wanted to go out and celebrate all you have to do is walk out the hotel doors. The staff were kind. We didn’t try the restaurant’s food downstairs but a random person in town told us they have the best breakfast to eat. It’s also near many restaurants and we tried what is said is the best pizza ever at Primante Bro’s at 901 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. Thin crust pizza was delicious but I prefer thei trademark sandwich which is called the Pittsburger named from their original restaurant in Pittsburgh Pa. Overall we had an excellent experience and would recommend this hotel, the food and the Fort Lauderdale strip. We will definitely be back.

I was charged $55 for parking, which was supposed to be at a discounted rate $24. I brought it to the hotels' attention and they reduced it to $32.10 including tax. The valet parking was a complete disaster. They didn't have enough staff to direct traffic so i got stuck in a holding pattern for 20+ minutes every time I uses the valet. The only parking onsite was not self service parking, but rather valet service.

The hotel was overrun by Orthodox Jews for the holiday which required that they not push any buttons on the elevator (they cannot complete a circuit during Shabbot) so the hotel pre programmed the elevators - one to stop at every floor going up and one to stop at every floor going down. In an emergency this could have been the difference between life and death not to mention how inconvenient it was. We discovered our shower didn't work at 9 pm and had to wait an hour, exhausted with kids, for engineering to come fix it. The ice maker on our floor didn't have any ice. I reported it to the front desk and still no ice for the duration of our stay. We are 2 adults and 2 kids (3 generations) and the bathroom was a louvered sliding door! It also had a window sized cut out in the other wall with a louvered shutter that opened and closed. Very little privacy.

You can't beat the location right on the beach with plenty of restaurants to walk to. This hotel has it's own beach access directly from the hotel, where you can even order food & drinks for delivery until 3 p.m. The pool area is a bit smaller than other surrounding resorts, but it fit our needs. Do note they offer double beds (not queens) which is something to consider if traveling with family.

We came here for a staycation and the location close to the beach. Really good and lively restaurant on site. Easy and wonderful service at check in by Melva. Wish there was an app for valet service as the line was busy most of the time.

Front desk employees were very professional and helpful. I booked a king but they had two doubles on file when I arrived. I showed the confirm and they were able to change it without issue. Housekeeping came late in the day while I was in the shower and when I asked them to come back in 20 minutes, they agreed but then never returned.

There was a dance competition going on during the two days we were there and it really made the hotel congested. There were long waits at the elevators (15+ minutes at times) which really made it difficult and time consuming to get around the property.
