Great experience! We were celebrating our anniversary and the hotel made a few nice gestures for us (Champagne, dessert, etc). Newer rooms (The Presidential Wing) are great, but older rooms don't have AC. The spa pass and massages are definitely extremely over-priced that we decided to skip it. Food could be better. The breakfast buffet had a good variety but quality could have been better. The 1902 dining room for dinner was good, but compared to the price we were paying for a dinner, our expectation of the quality of the food was much higher- my fish was salty and the short rib was mediocre. All in all, a great experience, but could use some improvements- especially in the food department.

Positives: the scenery, history, reputation, and ambiance. Exceptional service. Ski lift tickets included. Everything was great mostly. Elevator wasn’t slow. It’s really an elegant experience and the rooms are affordable Great value for rooms. Shuttles convenient. Skiing is right across the street and lift tickets are so easy and included in the room! Spa was very lovely and one of the nicest Swedish massages I’ve had. Snowshoeing was fun. The positives do outweigh the small annoyances. This is one of my favorite hotels. The beautiful windows with lounge areas and fireplaces and veranda are just so cozy and breathtaking.
Negatives: self parking you have to pay a nightly fee and we are in the middle of nowhere. Not a city. Ridiculous corporate antics. Reservations- wouldn’t give me the same rate for the third night add on. But then they upgraded me for free anyways. Tubing was bad marketing. We arrived and it was a small hill they built for kids. So we ended up snowshoeing instead. The food is very expensive and there’s not a lot of restaurants to go in the area. Omni owns the ski lodge and it’s expensive there too. They’ve created a monopoly. The steaks were delish. We got the hangar. But the rest of our dinners were just ok for that price point. And we kept getting sick after dinner every night. It’s unclear if it’s us or the food. That’s a big claim to make. I would consider maybe investigating to be sure though since hundreds of guests eat here each day. Just a suggestion to management. No fridge in rooms. But big dinner portions. We had to throw it all away. I heard there’s an electrical concern that they have to update the system so I’m very understanding but just letting you know. I wish the coed lounge was more like the women’s lounge. And the pool and hot tubs were dirty and jets barely worked. Outdoor pool and hot tub was freezing and that was a selling point to coming here. I wish we could’ve enjoyed the outdoor pool. The indoor pool was full of children and green. More attention needs to be made to the pools. Lighting in the rooms is Bright. A dimmer or softer light option even if it’s a nightlight would have been appreciated. I’m sensitive to bright lights. More dining options woulda been nice too since there’s nothing around here really.

Beautiful, historic hotel with loads of charm! The views from all around are spectacular during our stay at Christmas time. Great restaurants on site, and lots of things to see and do, both in and around the hotel.

As expected, nothing here is inexpensive. Make sure your wallet is full and that you have a lot of room on your credit card! One thing that I think is outrageous is that they actually charge you $20 a day for outdoor parking that’s a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. There’s no reason for that, except greed.

The only issue I would add is the breakfast menu was not more varied in the selections. I was not expecting tater tots as the potato offering for the american breakfast so the waitress allowed me to substitute oatmeal instead. $24.00 for tater tots is not what I was expecting. In addition, there was no french toast or pancakes - only waffles. My daughter would have preferred french toast with the same sides of toppings. We did order ala carte and did not take the buffet - we cant eat $35 worth of food in one sitting!!

The staff was great. We even had an Executive Chef named Daniel take the time to help us find our room as we were heading to the kitchen in error. That alone was a great selling point. Your concierge was great, They/He only had great things to say about OMNI. He had just started in April and seemed very happy about his decision to work there.

Always get great deals with Travelzoo, but sometimes feel that we probably don’t quite get the respect as the full paying customers might get. I actually am ok with that. I am an Omni member, but they greeted me as a Travelzoo member. Money I saved pretty much paid for my meals.

In the off season - which is when the travelzoo offer encompassed, there a few venues not functioning, but it was still a pleasant enough excursion. Dining is a bit expensive, but that's becoming the new norm, so I'd not rate that as a real negative. Otherwise, the service is impeccable, and the experience was gratifying.

Our room was VERY tired- both chairs dirty and stained, tub/shower surround had multiple DIY repairs, replaced partial strips of tile and darkly discolored caulking. TV remote didn’t work from the distance of bed or the aforementioned dirty chair seating area. It did finally work, from 2ft away. Mismatched lamps, (one flickered constantly so we turned it off, not wanting to start a fire) and battered furniture. The hotel magazine had been at some point completely soaked and had dried in that crinkled fluffy paper way- there was a clear round indent from a glass on the cover. Absolutely zero view from our window of anything pleasant. The maintenance/employee parking lot and a large industrial roof of what may have been the main dining room were below us, across from us the entire backside of another enormous hotel wing. We’ve stayed here several times and had never experienced accommodations like this, so it very disappointing. I’d like to point out that the resort did not appear to be anywhere near capacity…. 20 vehicles at most in the enormous parking lot and maybe that many people we saw as we wandered thru the lobby/main floor and lower level, reacquainting ourselves with this wonderful, historic hotel. To be fair, we did not request a Mountain View room, and usually don’t when making reservations here. All those stays/rooms were very satisfactory in location and quality. I can’t help but wonder if the fact we used Travelzoo’s smokin’ deal this time to make the reservation (and not the usual way thru the Omni member/awards program) influenced the hotel desk’s decision to put us where they did? Not throwing shade on Travelzoo here….but it would
be a very poor reflection on Omni policy if true. If this had been our first stay here, we’d never come back.

My husband I spent a long weekend at the Mount Washington Hotel in their Presidential Wing. It was wonderful. The room spacious, the bathroom perfect and the balcony view amazing. We also enjoyed the Presidential lounge continental breakfast and happy hour. Everyone in the Hotel was extremely accommodating and helpful. The common rooms were very elegant and appealing. The open porches were an amazing place to sit and have a drink or just watch the beautiful scenery. We also made use of the fire pits and heated pool at night watching the stars. Our only complaint is the pool should have been warmer!! A wonderful experience - highly recommend.

Was so wonderful being able to return to this property at the great rate. It allowed us to visit the amazing spa and still have an affordable getaway. This property can be so expensive in season and without the special. Usually too much for us.

My only comment would be that the new wing is amazing but better signage on how the floors work and how to get back and fort to the new wing and back to the original space would be helpful. I am sure it is still in the works. If you can do it, hit the spa - great property with a spa that has it ALL!!

Relaxing, the indoor and outdoor pool was fabulous. Food in the Stickneys Restaurant was awesome. The atmosphere, the entire experience was wonderful. What a great change, can’t wait for your next deal!

Always amazing view and the beauty of grand hotel. The fireplaces and firepits burn gas now instead of wood. I miss the wood fires which added to the ambience of the hotel.

I just needed a quick get away for some relaxing and hiking with my kids. The MWR was great, with all of the options we needed. The view is second to none... pictures can not even do it justice.

Iconic hotel. Great views. A bit off season when we went. One of their restaurants were closed. They own an off site restaurant, which they recommended. Food at their off site location was below average. Their main restaurant is very expensive for dinner. Breakfast buffet was very good. Great views from the main dining room.
