Wonderful well located hotel. Breakfast was delicious. Staff wonderful. They just need to update the bathroom in the room we stayed in. The shower was tiny! Do people take baths anymore? If so, they need to give couples a room with a larger shower. No room for one person. Great overall experience though and centrally located.

Excellent location in downtown .Portland Hotel was amazing. Front desk staff was welcoming and ease of check in and check out. The hotel lobby decor was very inviting with a fireplace and various sitting areas. Our room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Also each floor had an area as you come off the elevator, with coffee, tea, water, snacks, pastries, cookies, fruit, and yogurt. This was an unexpecting bonus. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Can't wait to stay here in the future.

My husband and I visited in November even though most of the tours were closed we had plenty to do and the food options plentiful. We stayed in Old Port which was a great location to shops and docks. The only tour that seemed to be open was the walking tour of Old Port which I would highly recommend. Our tour guide was a wealth of information. Will definitely be back to visit.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful but seemed to be understaffed. Lobby atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. Enjoyed cocktails in the evening at the restaurant. Our room was adequate but needed a little TLC.

I found this fabulous deal on Travelzoo, it included breakfast and no resort fee, so I invited 3 other couples to join us. The hotel was beautiful and one block up from the harbor. The staff were more than accommodating. Shout out to Christopher for making sure we had the best experience! Room was large with an amazing soaking tub. Love the pantry idea of healthy snacks and beverages. We sat. Y the fire pit at night which was lovely. There was a living room area behind the lobby where the 8 of us could all gather and play games! The next morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast! Lobster eggs Benedict-amazing my husband via still talking about!!Checkout was easy, we found street parking 200 feet from the hotel. Portland is clean and safe so it’s perfectly fine to leave your car on the street. Just a perfect stay and looking forward to returning in the early spring.

We had a wonderful one-night stay. Valet, front desk and bartender were all great. The outdoor gas fire pit in the garden was a nice place to enjoy a couple cocktails before heading out to dinner. Great location.

Cleanliness was lacking: rooms had lost items and debris under beds and armoire. (phone charger, deodorant, and food crumbs) Toilet seat was extremely loose - we had to fix it ourselves.
Bed was comfortable.

The pantry on each floor is a nice idea. The afternoon "tea" was a joke and should not be advertised as such. It was nothing different, if not LESS, than the floor pantry selections. We came back from walking around town to enjoy the "tea". We expected tables set with cups and saucers, lovely trays with cookie selections, etc. There was NOTHING special about having “afternoon tea.”
The restaurant and bar staff were slightly unpleasant; they were understaffed and over stressed, therefore, there was no warm and welcoming conversation. We had eight people in our group, so we had our own fun. There were several couples behind us that were unapologetically told they had to wait 30 to 40 minutes...for breakfast!! If my husband and I were traveling alone, we would have been terribly upset! There was no host, so I imagine it was just a case of short staffing. (it really was not that busy, but for one person, it seemed overwhelming)
The front desk staff, however, was extremely friendly and ‘above and beyond’ helpful (even assisting the restaurant staff)
Overall, we had a pleasant visit.

What a lovely surprise! We absolutely LOVED our room (king-sized junior suite) and the general feel of the hotel. The bar and restaurant area is really nice and the cocktails were great.
Our only complaint is that when we went to use our breakfast voucher for our second morning, we were told, that despite having many empty tables, that we’d have to come back in 45 minutes because they only had one person working. We weren’t able to stay that long so the staff at the front desk took the value of the voucher off of our bill, no questions asked.

My father grew up in the Portland area. We were struggling to find a reasonably priced hotel downtown. He died recently and wanted some of his ashes spread at Portland Head Light, his favorite Maine lighthouse.
Your deal was timely. My cousin and her husband also stayed there, thanks to your booking deal.
The rooms are beautiful, as are all the public areas. Love the paneled walls.
Nice touch, having continental breakfast items, fruit, coffee, tea, and bottled waters at the end of each floor.
The staff was very friendly. The bartenders and wait staff all had a good sense of humor.
The outdoor garden area, the courtyard, was beautiful, even at the end of October. We sat at the fire pit each night and enjoyed a glass of wine.
We also appreciated the $40. coupons off breakfast each morning.
THANK YOU FOR SUCH A GREAT DEAL! PLEASE RUN IT AGAIN! (A deal at their sister property on Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes of New York would also be most welcome!)

Our stay was fabulous. Only comments to share, they didn’t know I booked via Travelzoo so I had to ask for the $40 breakfast voucher and have them waive the resort fee. The elevator was broken and we were on the 4th floor. They apologized for both issues.
