To reach Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos, Autograph Collection, travelers will fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). From there, it's a 40-minute drive to the resort. Airport transfers can be arranged through the hotel at an additional cost.

Second year back, everything was wonderful. The room was perfect. It was updated and ocean front. The staff is wonderful. I even left my bag there and they’re holding it until my friend comes in a few weeks.
A few negatives this year, the timeshare ladies were a bit too much at check-in. They found us at the pool and called our room so when you say no, please understand it’s no. Non drinker here, I pay the inclusive. I don’t complain, I asker for extra decaf pods and I don’t even use housekeeping, I don’t want to bother them, room is spotless when I leave I got attitude, when someone doesn’t drink alcohol and they ask for coffee, get it for them. Food was fine. We love the buffet in the morning. It’s actually delicious and it should be open a lot longer. The other restaurants they try to Americanized the food and it’s a little different but just enjoy the ride. It’s a beautiful property and like anything you’re gonna have some bumps on the road, but when you’re looking at the ocean smile and be blessed that you can.

Beautiful resort! The grounds and buildings are lovely and well maintained! There were many restaurants to choose from and the food was delicious and high quality. Never had a problem getting seated right away, even when we did not have a reservation. We had an amazing ocean view and got to see whales swim by every day. Multiple pools and beachfront to enjoy, even though you could not swim in the ocean. Hospitality team was 5-star day and night!

We’ve been to Cabo many times but never stayed at Hacienda Del Mar. It’s a very beautiful property. Beautiful sunsets and gorgeous views everywhere. Lots of pools and activities. A nice gym and spa. Food is delicious. We rented a car because we like to get around. Not sure if I would be happy here without an option to go somewhere.

It was our second stay at Hacienda Del Mar. Our first stay was flawless, so when we went there again we expected the same level of positive experience. It was different this time. We've received a room away from the ocean and with no ocean view. We paid for an ocean view room and it was indicated in our three vouchers. After we requested a different room, we were placed in a very small and old room with an ocean view but not in a good location. The facets were leaking, the outdoor chairs were stained, the bedding was made not of pure cotton, blankets were polyester filled, towels were very worn, yellowish and often stained. These would be typical for a 3* motel. Hacienda Del Mar is a 4+* resort. It was a big disappointment. The rest was good. The food, service, cleaning services were good. We will probably try to go there again, though we have some reservations.

Friendly, well train staff. Property was clean! We had a fabulous room with a beautiful ocean view. Enjoy swimming at all the pools and hot tub. The food at each restaurant was fabulous! Serving staff incredibly friendly and willing to make sure you're enjoying your experience. I would recommend Hacienda Delmar to anybody and hope to come back again!

We were not told the resort is under construction. The main lobby area, spa and 3 restaurants are closed making the food options very limited. Construction noise was constant at the main pools. Additionally, our room overlooked a courtyard under construction. If we had known of the construction, we would not have booked at this time.

My husband and I have visited Cabo San Lucas several times. We have always stayed closer to the city and marina. The location of Hacienda del Mar is really perfect in my mind - still close enough to "town" but out of the hustle and bustle of the heavily crowded beaches closer to the marina. It was very peaceful, the staff was super friendly and accommodating, the room was gorgeous with amazing views of the crashing waves onto the shoreline. We had some of the best food we have ever had in Mexico at this wonderful resort. Would definitely return.

Loved all of the resort. We did have a problem with our neighbor who spoke on his cell phone on "speaker" at 5am in the morning. We could hear the conversation on both ends of the phone. Very thin walls.

We had a great time and the staff made our stay so easy. We had just completed a stay at Villa La Valencia also using a Travelzoo voucher and had a terrible experience with front desk service so we were a bit nervous when arriving at Hacienda Del Mar but it was the exact opposite. No extra charges, no weirdness due to voucher and super quick and friendly. The rooms could use a refresh, but were perfectly adequate. Using the all inclusive package was easy and very transparent.

Pleasantly surprised. Many of the reviews downplayed this reosrt. Yes, the rooms are a little outdated in their decor, but they are clean and comfortable. Our room also had a great view. The whole property was very well kept, spotless. One pool was being worked on so it wasnt open. It would have been nice to know this.
We did the all inclusive. This worked out very well. There was a lot of good drink options without an upcharge. Bottles of wine at dinner were an upcharge, and not a great price, but thats resort pricing. The list of beverages clearly showed Tito's vodka as being included, however it was not.
Staff was great, first day in the beach, Armando was our waiter. Great service. He was actually running back and forth. Beach chairs were plentiful, and the beach was beautiful. They also offered umbrellas, there was no charge, but of course we tipped for the service.
There are people on the beach selling jewelry etc., but they were not pushy, and left you alone.

Except for breakfast, we chose to avoid the buffet for our meals. The other restaurants were very nice. Great views, friendly service and the food was good. Most menu items were included in the all inclusive deal.
We did have a service issue with the room. One sink and the tub did not draain. The sink was fixed immediately, the tub went over a day without being fixed. Kind of a drag when you're only there 3 nights.
All in all had a great trip and would go there again.

Service was very good. The waitstaff at restaurants and by the pool were friendly and helpful. Food was average: De Cortez was good, the buffet was, well, it was a buffet so some good and some not good, and Pitahayas was awful, terrible, and really bad.
Beverages were very good, as we were on the all-inclusive package and had no issues at all.
The rooms were, in a word, terrible. Very dated and tired. We could not get most of the lights in the room to work. The A/C barely worked and our room was very warm day and night. You could see light coming in all around the door. The patio glass window did not fit the opening, and it had been rigged with tape but still allowed hot air and noise into the room. The mini bar was supposed to be filled every day, but when we arrive in the room there was nothing in the fridge. We had to ask for it to be replenished daily.
For a J W Marriott property, I was quite disappointed. We will not be returning.

The staff make this place great! The food was good. The property is older and getting needed rehabs but it was clean and comfortable. The beach front does not allow swimming. While this is the case of much of the coast line here it was not specified anywhere. There is a hard press to attend a vacation club presentation when you arrive, which was not my favorite part of the day! Over all good value for the money. The wait and pool staff were all great. Some of the fees for transportation and other amenities seems high making thr all inclusive rate the way to go.

They misrepresented ALL INCLUSIVE, at check in, they provided a list with all of the food places. Two of the. Had extra charges for half of the menu, I ordered room service twice, which was supposed to be included and I was charged for those orders at checkout s well as what I ordered at the cafe. They also wanted to persuade me to get into their timeshare chats for 70 minutes. I am dissapoknted at their service.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay at Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos. Our room was somewhat dated but clean. Although we are finicky eaters, we enjoyed the varied restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommdating. The resort was very relaxing and quiet with older adults. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything is laid back…don’t be in a rush for meals because even breakfast takes an hour. All restaurants have great views of the ocean. We upgraded to an ocean view room. Even while getting ready in the bathroom, we could see the ocean. We had a nice large balcony to enjoy as well. I would ask that your room not be above Tomatoes Restaurant. We were on the second floor above it, and with our patio door slightly open we could hear everything going on in the restaurant. It wasn’t bad if your door is closed, but we love hearing the ocean. Also, we like to get up early while on vacation, so it was OK. The service is great. We had all inclusive, and gratuity was not included. Also, if you want to buy anything, bring cash because most things are in US dollars and you can negotiate on prices.

My husband and I have been blown away by the helpful, friendly, courteous staff and the beautiful architecture of the “old school” buildings and well kept lovely grounds. We did the all inclusive package and found the food to always be good and plentiful , the tequila to be of high quality and in abundance , and the recreation options to be varied and easy to access.

We had a wonderful stay at Hacienda del Mar. The resort in person was even better than it looked online! The all inclusive package was a great deal. There were a few things that we were not told weren't included in the all inclusive, such as the coffee shop and room service. It seemed like most of the staff weren't aware of the rules until we went to checkout. Nevertheless, the rest of the outlets were great, pools were lovely, and we had a great stay!

I don't think we got the room we booked - the front desk clerk even said to us upon arrival that they gave us the room closest to what we booked since we booked through Travelzoo. We were on the first floor ... we had a veranda ... I wouldn't call that a "balcony". We were "oceanfront", but view was obstructed by the restaurant in front of us to the left (Cortez). The taco bar restaurant was slower than slow.

this was our first TravelZoo experience and booking went smoothly. The property is in a lovely location but rooms are worn and in need of upgrade. They had "all inclusive" guests sign for every drink and meal which was a bit strange and the prices they were charging were outrageous. Staff was very good.

Only issue we had was that on first day they, we were kicked out of pool for private party. The party took place adjacent to our room so we heard music during party and then clean up and rest of area into the night. Staff is great and location is lovely. The views are amazing. Rooms are in need of update.

They booked out the restaurants we were supposed to eat in two of the 4 nights we were there, without informing us in advance. The pool in front of our room was closed two days in a row for corporate events, which were loud (late night DJs and partying) which made sleep impossible, particularly with a small child.
