It was our first time visiting Cambria, CA. The village is very charming with many shops to browse and if you're hungry, there are many restaurants and cafes from which to choose. Everything from a coffee and croissant to a full blown dinner with all the trimmings. We went to Linn's Restaurant for dinner on day one and returned for lunch the following day. They are located at 2277 Main St., Cambria, Ca. Their food is delicious and they have fresh made pies of all kinds. The next night, after sightseeing, we had a fabulous dinner at the Cambria Pines Lodge dining room. Prime Rib was the special that night, and we both indulged in that great cut of meat with asparagus and mashed potatoes on the side. Served with au jus and horseradish, it was so tender and delicious. I would highly recommend it! Cambria Pines Lodge is located at 2905 Burton Dr., Cambria, Ca. I would recommend them highly for a place to stay.

Check in was done in a easy manner by Dal, although he was unsure if the room we were to receive was upgraded or not? I brought new guests wanted to impress them but a few items fell short (see below). We used to receive two for one wine tasting coupons, 20% discount at the local nursery and a sanitizer for when we cleaned our own tables so that would be nice to receive that again; healthy too! I have been a guest at Cambria Pines Lodge many times ( invited several new ones over the years) and it would be nice to get an upgrade perk, or something. Some of my old receipts showed the Cambria Deal at $129, if that gives you an idea of how long I have been there! Clinton ( employee) a TRUE asset!

We have been to the CPL at least a dozen times. It consistently offers great food, beautiful grounds, and excellent service in one of the most beautiful coastal areas of California. This trip was no exception. Excellent dinner and breakfasts with great service.

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the lodge using the Travelzoo deal. It’s definitely a good deal. The restaurant is excellent, and the free meal is any entree you want on the menu. We took our dog, so had to sit outside. The outside dining is apparently very popular, and the seating is first come, first served outside. We were not told this when we made our reservation for 6pm, and so there was no seating available for us, which was very frustrating. SO BEWARE! Get there early if you want to (or have to) eat outside. This was the first time we stayed in one of the cottages, instead of a room, and it was very nice.

The beach in Cambria is not dog friendly, but the beach in cayucas is only 15-20 minutes away, and is dog friendly. The town of Cayucas is charming. We spent most of the day there, and had a great time.

Excellent overall. Room was great, dinner was delicious, happy hour was the bomb! Jacuzzi was Luke warm so a bit disappointing, but they said it was getting repaired. Also, at first they said we had to pay for an additional fire log for the 2nd night (after paying for a fireplace room for 2 nights)…but later the front desk corrected that and gave us 2 free logs for the 2nd night. So overall it was a great stay and we will come again
