Travel Photographer of the Year: 6 Winning Images
Travel photography usually falls into two camps. There's the stuff most of us capture on holiday (you on a sun lounger; you grinning next to a famous landmark; Facebook-friendly pictures of your latest meal), and then there's proper travel photography.
The sublime assortment you see here falls, naturally enough, into the latter category. All of these images are currently being displayed as part of the Travel Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society in South Kensington, London.
If you're inspired by the pictures below (or think you have something to equal them), you have until 1 October to enter this year's competition. Click here to find out how.
