How to enter Travelzoo's Golden Ticket Giveaway

The Travelzoo Golden Ticket giveaway has arrived! Every Wednesday between 8 February and 15 March we’ll be hiding a winning ticket inside one lucky member’s Top 20 email.

Whoever finds that Golden Ticket will win a fantastic holiday for two, to one of the following destinations: Iceland, the Maldives, Gibraltar, Kos, Venice or Gran Canaria.

There are also loads of smaller prizes to be won – discount codes that you can put towards our voucher deals.

Who is eligible for the Travelzoo Golden Ticket Giveaway?

The Golden Ticket Giveaway is open to all members of Travelzoo who subscribe to the Travelzoo Top 20 email. You must live in the United Kingdom and be 18 years of age or older.

When is it happening?

The competition begins on Wednesday, 8 February, and continues for six weeks, with one holiday (plus the smaller prizes) being given away every week. The Golden Ticket must be claimed by someone between 11am GMT on the Wednesday (when we start sending out the Top 20 email) and 10:59am GMT on the following Monday. The final Golden Ticket will be sent out in the Top 20 on Wednesday, 15 March, 2017, and must be claimed by Monday 20 March.

What do I have to do to play?

Simply open your Top 20 email (between 11am on Wednesday and Monday at 10:59am the following week) and click on the Golden Ticket link. You’ll then be taken to the Travelzoo Golden Ticket webpage to reveal whether you’ve won either the main holiday or one of 200 discount codes of £10 that can be redeemed on any Travelzoo voucher purchase. Winners will be chosen by computer in a random draw.

How many times can I enter?

Only once. Clicking on the Golden Ticket link in your Top 20 email constitutes your entry into the competition and is only possible on a single occasion.

How long do I have to claim my prize?

If we don’t hear from the winner by 10:59am on the Monday following the Golden Ticket email, another winner will be chosen at random and notified by email. This person has until 10:59am the following day to respond before another winner is selected and the process repeated. We’ll carry on repeating the process until we can confirm a winner! Be warned: failure to complete the form in the required time will disqualify you from winning the prize.

Just say I win – how do I claim my prize?

The winner of the main prize must enter their details into the form and call the Travelzoo office on the telephone number provided so that we can arrange the booking.

I’ve won a discount code. What can I spend it on and how long is it valid?

If you’ve won a £10 discount code, please take the time to write it down and leave your contact details in the form provided so we can email your code the next day. Your unique discount code is valid for one purchase of a voucher online for seven days at http://www.travelzoo.com/uk/local-deals/gifts?display=goldenticket.

What are the main prizes on offer?

This is the good bit. If you’re lucky enough to find the Golden Ticket, you (and a friend) could be on your way to any one of the following destinations: 

• Maldives
  An all-inclusive week worth £1499 per person. The package includes flights, seaplane transfers and 5-star accommodation. Cocoon Maldives Resort is on Ookolhufinolhu Island, in Lhaviyani Atoll. You’ll stay in an over-water lagoon villa.

• Venice
  You’ll stay on little Murano island, a short boat ride from central Venice, in a Condé Nast Traveller-recommended hotel overlooking the Grand Canal. This 3-night break covers flights, accommodation in a superior room at the LaGare Hotel Venezia – MGallery by Sofitel, and daily breakfast.

• Gran Canaria
