Itinerary
Start your holiday with a 3-night break in Toronto, Canada's most populous city. You'll stay at a 4-star hotel right on the waterfront. An excursion to Niagara Falls includes a once-in-a-lifetime lunch on a boat overlooking the Falls. The rest of the time, you can explore cosmopolitan Toronto at your own pace.

Next, fly non-stop to the West Coast for a 3-night stay in Vancouver. Get your bearings on a hop-on, hop-off city tour that showcases some of the top sights in town. Explore 400 hectares of forested trails in the central green space, Stanley Park.

On day seven you'll embark Celebrity Solstice for a week-long all-inclusive voyage to Alaska:

  • Scenic cruise along the Inside Passage… relax on your balcony and watch the scenery getting wilder. With luck, you could spot orcas and bald eagles in their natural habitat.
  • Icy Strait Point… this port is owned by Native Alaskans. It is around 15 minutes' walk from the largest Tlingit settlement in the state.
  • Skagway… this historic gold-rush town is set against a pretty mountain backdrop. Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve is a popular optional excursion, and August is peak nesting season.
  • Juneau… sail through the Endicott Arm fjord and Dawes Glacier to reach the state capital. Juneau is often referred to as the most scenic city in the States.
  • Ketchikan… is the gateway to Misty Fjords, and has a rich Haida and Tlingit heritage. "There is no better place in the US to see totem poles", says Lonely Planet.

About the ship
Celebrity Solstice offers "one of the most elegant mainstream cruising experiences", says Cruise Critic. It promises a "sophisticated, contemporary and delicious cruise experience for all ages".

Food is a real highlight. The main restaurant spans two decks and has a 2-storey glass wine tower. Other no-fee dining options include the Mast Grill, Oceanview Café, and Sunset Bar. Room service is complimentary and available 24/7. Your all-inclusive package also covers drinks, and Wi-Fi.

One of the standout features of the vessel is the half-acre of living grass at the Lawn Club. You can relax, play boules, or watch films on the outdoor movie screen. You can also join cooking demos, wine-tasting sessions, and experience cruise classics like trivia and bingo.

There's live music throughout the ship at nights that will suit all tastes. If you fancy a late night, you could head to the futuristic nightclub Quasar or join the Silent Disco. For a more relaxed vibe, check out the live music in the bars and lounges.

Prime Veranda Stateroom are on the higher decks and offer panoramic views. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open to a private balcony.
