Itinerary

  • Reykjavik... start the adventure in Iceland's capital—home to half the island's population. The most popular optional excursions include the famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa. Or, tour the Golden Circle and see the Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysers, and Thingvellir National Park.
  • Isafjordur... is home to old wooden cottages, bobbing fishing boats, and stunning mountain scenery. Be sure to visit the Troll Seat viewing point. Legend has it that a large troll flattened the area by sitting down on it.
  • Akureyri... is the country's second-largest city. Book a whale watching excursion, or visit the cascading Dynjandi waterfall.
  • Lerwick... is the main town of the Shetland Islands, and is great for wildlife spotting. There's an RSPB reserve at Sumburgh Head, where you might spot puffins.
  • Amsterdam... you'll dock overnight here, so you'll have plenty of time to explore the city. Spend time in a cosy cafe, or perusing one of the excellent museums. You could hire a bike for an easy way to explore the canals.

Ship details
Scarlet Lady is an adults-only ship that is designed with a chic ambience in mind. Relax by the outdoor pool or unwind in the spa (supplements apply for treatments). There's also a boxing ring, a basketball court, and a gym.

All your meals are included at all 20 of the ship's onboard restaurants. These are all table service, with no reservations required. Options include Korean barbecue, Japanese bento, a mezze lounge, plus Mexican and Italian. The Galley is a 24-hour-a-day street food area with eight stalls.

According to Cruise Critic, "the ship really comes into its own at night". After dinner, you can hit the 2-storey nightclub or the dazzling Red Room multi-form theatre. There's live music, DJs, dancing, and impromptu performances all over the ship. Or, try your luck in the casino or unwind in one of the many bars.
