Itinerary
- North Sea Canal... you'll cruise down this industrious canal, an important shipping lane. However, there's much more to this waterway than container ships. Along its banks, you'll spot fascinating World War II fortifications. You'll also pass by beaches and nature reserves.
- Amsterdam... dock in the capital of the Netherlands overnight. Explore the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art. Visit the Anne Frank House. Or, uncover the quirky streets in the Nine Streets neighbourhood. You'll have plenty of time to explore this city, which is steeped in history.
- Rotterdam... admire the iconic windmills and winding waterways here. Check out Dutch masterpieces in the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen. Wander around the charming Delfshaven neighbourhood, or go shopping at the indoor market (Markthal).
Ship details
Borealis carries 1353 guests at full capacity. Since it's a smaller ship, you'll enjoy a warm, friendly atmosphere on board. The crew get to know you by name, and even what you like to drink.
Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, and afternoon tea is served every day. If you'd like something special, dine at Fred. Olsen's two speciality restaurants (supplements apply). Vasco specialises in Goan cuisine, and Colours & Tastes serves Asian fusion dishes.
During the day, you can cosy up in one of the lounges. Visit The Observatory, which has panoramic ocean views and live music. At night, you can watch big-production shows in the elegant theatre, and enjoy dancing afterwards. The Morning Light pub is the best spot to grab drinks with new-found friends. The ship is full of live music and pub quizzes.
