Itinerary
Fly to the sun-kissed island on Corfu for an adults-only beach break at a 5-star hotel. Surrounded by forested hills along the Ionian Sea, it's a great spot to relax. There are two pools, and a serene spa. You could play tennis, join a yoga class, or a morning hike to nearby villages. Meals and drinks are all included. Dine al fresco at the main restaurant, and grab a cocktail from one of the bars.
Next, fly to the Greek capital, Athens. Take in views of the Acropolis from the rooftop restaurant of your hotel. This ancient monument is a 25-minute walk away, through the historic Plaka district.
You'll be transferred to Piraeus port to embark on your summer voyage calling at:
- Mykonos… this sun-drenched Cycladic gem proudly flaunts its "sizzling St-Tropez-meets-Ibiza style", with chic cafés, boutiques, and hedonistic beach clubs, and it is also referred to by Lonely Planet as a "great glamour island".
- Kuşadası… this buzzing holiday resort is the gateway to the impressive ruins of Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is widely considered to be one of the best-preserved places in the Med to get a feel what life was like in ancient times
- Istanbul (overnight on the ship)… you'll have ample time to explore this fascinating metropolis. Straddling two continents along the Bosphorus, the city is a meeting point of East and West. Browse stalls in the Grand Bazaar, tour the Topkapi Palace, and visit the awe-inspiring Hagia Sophia.
- Volos… is a hip harbourfront city and gateway to the natural wonders of the Pelion peninsula.
- Santorini… stand in awe on the deck as your ship approaches land, manoeuvring on the impossibly blue Aegean at the feet of dramatic volcanic cliffs dotted with white villages — you'll easily see why The Daily Telegraph calls the island "one of the spectacles of the Med".
- Rhodes… the largest of the Dodecanese archipelago is one of the sunniest spots in Europe. Explore the walled Old Town, which is a treasure trove of Byzantine and Ottoman relics.
- Crete… you'll sail to Heraklion, the cosmopolitan capital of Crete. It combines natural beauty with historic sites, like the the Bronze Age Palace of Knossos, the mythical home of King Minos and the Minotaur.
