Itinerary
- Barcelona... you'll get two nights at a 5-star hotel in the Catalan capital before your cruise. The hotel is just off the city's main thoroughfare, the Avenue Diagonal. Gaudi's Casa Batlló is less than 10 minutes walk away. The Sagrada Família is less than 20 minutes' walk away.
- Porto Venere... this village on Italy's Ligurian coast will be your first port of call. Explore the trails of Porto Venere Natural Park, or the Gothic-style church.
- Palamos... this well-preserved Catalan fishing village retains a lot of its maritime heritage. Nestled at the foot of pine-covered hills, there are several sandy beaches to discover.
- Mahón, Menorca... the capital is distinctive for its Georgian architecture, dating from the 1700s.
- Palma de Mallorca... discover the golden plazas and intimate tapas bars of this cathedral-crowned city.
- Ibiza... visit the UNESCO-listed old town and enjoy party vibes in and around the main town.
- Castellón de la Plana... this city in eastern Spain is home to the modernist Museu de Belles Arts. There's also a Gothic-style cathedral with an octagonal bell tower.
Ship details
Emerald Sakara is a modern superyacht that was custom-built in 2023. Cruise Critic says it "feels like a luxurious private yacht" with a "glamorous aesthetic". Its smaller size means it can fit into smaller ports that other ships can't. You can take in sea views from the infinity pool on the aft deck.
Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, with some à la carte options available, too. Dinner is always a waiter-served affair. The chefs on board source fresh ingredients as you sail, so meals reflect the destination. There's also the Aqua Pool Café, offering lighter, more informal fare. In the evenings, you can catch a musician in the Amici Lounge. There's also events like karaoke and trivia. All your drinks are covered, including branded spirits and cocktails.
There are two types of excursions offered on board. EmeraldPLUS excursions offer comprehensive but more relaxed excursions of the port's main highlights. EmeraldACTIVE, as the name suggests, is more fast-paced. This includes guided hikes, bike rides, and watersports. Both are included in the fare. For a supplement, you can pay for more in-depth experiences with DiscoverMORE. These include wine tastings, snorkelling, kayaking, and other premium activities.
