Cruise in the autumn when the landscape is dressed by radiant red leaves
Why We Love This Deal
This is one of our favourite times to see Japan. There are fewer crowds than in cherry blossom season, and Mount Fuji is capped with snow. Kyoto's temples are framed by red maple leaves, and the sea around the southern islands of Okinawa is warm enough for a dip.

Itinerary
Your Far East cruise holiday will start with two nights in the Japanese capital, Tokyo. This vibrant metropolis is home to cloud-brushing skyscrapers, mega malls, and almost uncountable sights of old and new.
Next you'll be transferred to the port, to embark on your cruise calling at:
- Shimizu… at the foot of Mount Fuji, the town is one of the most beautiful ports in Japan. Take a stroll through the fragrant pine forest at seaside Miho, visit the archaeological site at Toro, or a sushi museum in town.
- Nagoya… is the home of Toyota, where you could tour the car maker's exhibit hall. See the 17th-century Nagoya Castle is a designated National Treasure of Japan. Alternatively, stroll through Sakae, a buzzing entertainment district.
- Osaka… is just over 50 minutes' drive from Kyoto, a city where old ways are very much alive. Hop between traditional teahouses, see geishas walk through the streets in kimonos, and watch monks chant in Zen gardens. Kiyomizudera temple is one of the best places to see the autumn leaves.
- Naha… this is the capital of the subtropical Okinawa archipelago. It is known as the birthplace of karate. Browse delightful shops for traditional stencilled Bingata fabrics, and fine Tsuboya pottery.
- Kaohsiung… is a modern metropolis in southern Taiwan. It has airy cafes, waterside parks, and ample architectural legacy from the 17th-century Dutch colonial era.
- Hong Kong (overnight on the ship)… simply put, "there is no modern city more beautiful and exciting" (The Daily Telegraph). Discover incredible food, awesome shopping and nightlife, and traces of British influence.
Your cruise will conclude in Keelung, from where a transfer will take you to your deluxe hotel in Taipei. With two days in the Taiwanese capital, you have plenty of time for activities at your leisure. Visit the Longshan Temple, Dihua Street, or the National Palace Museum during your stay.
