Itinerary

• Two nights in Sydney… a pre-cruise hotel stay means you can wander at will and get to know the city at your own pace. Chill in the harbourfront bars, wander the hip neighbourhoods, and follow your own itinerary. You could even take a train further afield—an easy direct train to the top of the Blue Mountains runs frequently from Central Station.
• Newcastle… Australia's second-oldest city has historic architecture, hip bars, and quirky boutiques. Watch surfers riding the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Or, join an optional tour to the wine country in the renowned Hunter Valley.
• Airlie Beach… is the gateway to some of the best coastal scenery in the country. Whitehaven Beach has over four miles of sugary white sand. The nearby Whitsundays are perfect for island-hopping excursions.
• Yorkey's Knob... here's the jumping-off point for optional shore excursions to the inimitable Great Barrier Reef. Grab your gear and snorkel and swim in the technicolour reefs.
• Port Douglas… this coastal town in Queensland boasts a four-mile-long beach that runs its whole length, from Flagstaff Hill on one end extending all the way down toward the Mowbray River mouth.
• Cruising by Willis Island… apart from resident meteorologists, humans are not allowed to set foot on this protected speck of land. Keep your eyes peeled for large colonies of seabirds.

You'll disembark in Sydney. In between ports, you'll have four full days at sea, when you can make the most of your sea at holiday aboard a 5-star floating resort.

Ship details
Celebrity Edge is one of Celebrity Cruises' newer and most advanced Edge-class ships. Cruise Critic calls it "one of the most unusual and appealing cruise ships we've seen in a decade". It also adds that "those who appreciate stylish, contemporary design will fall in love".

The ship is designed to feel just like a 5-star hotel, and is full of lush greenery, complete with an immersive rooftop garden and metallic trees for performers to perch in. It was also the first ship to debut the Magic Carpet—a moveable deck with a bar, where you can get out onto tenders or just relax with great views.

There are 15 dining venues overall, and four are included in the cruise fare, including French, Tuscan, and Greek specialities. Myriad bars are included on your all-inclusive package, including the iconic Eden bar, full of live plants. The theatre is "one of the most high-tech spaces you'll find at sea" (Cruise Critic).
