Itinerary
Begin with a stay in Vancouver. You'll have time to explore the city at leisure, and will also return later in your itinerary. Wander 400 hectares of forested trails in the central green space, Stanley Park. Vancouver Flyover, Granville Island Market, and the Gastown neighbourhood are also great places to visit

Then, board Celebrity Solstice for a 7-night cruise, calling at:

  • Cruising the Inside Passage... relax on the deck and watch the scenery getting wilder. With luck, you could spot orcas and bald eagles in their natural habitat.
  • Icy Strait Point... this port is owned by Native Alaskans. It is around 15 minutes' walk from the largest Tlingit settlement in the state.
  • Scenic cruising by the Hubbard Glacier...  glide past this incredible 7-mile long glacier. Sightings of humpback whales, seals, and otters often occur here.
  • Juneau... this town really boomed when prospectors struck gold in the 1880s. It's often called the most beautiful state capital in the USA.
  • Ketchikan... the town's name means "thundering wings of an eagle" in Tlingit. It is known for its indigenous Haida and Tlingit heritage. The Misty Fiords wilderness area is around 40 miles east of town.

After your cruise, you'll explore the Canadian Rockies. Spend two further nights in Vancouveryou could take a trip to Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain. Or explore Victoria, on Vancouver Island.

Then, board Rocky Mountaineer. You'll take what is "one of the world's best train journeys", according to Forbes. Be utterly pampered on your 2-day journey—break for the night in the city of Kamloops.

Finish your rail journey in Jasper, where you'll stay overnight. This is the largest national park within Alberta's Rocky Mountains, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take in stunning mountain scenery and look out for local wildlife.

Your final stop on this jam-packed itinerary will be Banff. This picture-perfect resort town sits within a national park. Banff is home to some of North America's finest outdoor activities and the electric-blue Lake Louise. You'll stop here on your included tour of Icefields Parkway, which takes you from Jasper to Banff.
