Ship details
Emerald Radiance is the smallest ship in the Emerald Cruises fleet. It carries 112 passengers and is purpose-built to navigate the narrow Portuguese waterways. It has a pool, a theatre, and a bar with panoramic views.
Staff who work on the Douro River are legally required to be local. That means "the authentic experience is unbroken from ports of call to life onboard" (Cruise Critic). Staff know the destination inside out and are full of insider tips. Activities include port wine cocktail classes, traditional mosaic tile painting, and cookery demonstrations. Meals are inspired by ports of call, and include delicious Portuguese classics. There's live music onboard as well, including a traditional tuna band.
Other options
Sail in a Panorama Balcony Suite from an extra £600 per person, in total.
