About the show
"Hamilton" tells the story of the oft forgotten founding father, Alexander Hamilton. Emigrating from The Caribbean, Hamilton went on to become the founder of the US government. He experiences love and loss, makes friends and rivals, and becomes a part of history. The hip-hop-style musical covers hope, grief, betrayal, and how to not give away your shot.
The musical won eight Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical after its 2017 London debut. A recorded version of the original Broadway production was released on Disney+. It went on to become one of the most streamed films of 2020.
