About the shows
Blackpool Comedy Festival takes places across two nights at the Opera House in Blackpool's Winter Gardens. Both evenings feature four of the UK's top comedians, hosted by Ryan Gleeson.

Eddie Izzard will headline the Friday evening, fresh off the back of her "Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations" tour, which The Guardian calls a "charismatic one-woman show". The comedian has a number of awards under her belt, including two Emmy Awards for performance and writing. TimeOut praises her "charisma and star power", and The Daily Telegraph calls her "glorious". Eddie will be supported by Scottish Comedy Award-winner Jojo Sutherland, "Shooting Stars" character Angelos Epithemiou, and TV comic Tom Stade.

On Saturday night, the show will be headlined by Seann Walsh. The stand-up comedian has won several awards including Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and Chortle Best Newcomer. He also supported Stephen K. Amos on tour and at Reading and Leeds Festivals and appeared on "I'm a Celebrity..." in 2022. Seann has been called "bitterly funny" by The Guardian, and the London Evening Standard praises his "well-honed humour". Comic's Comic award-winner Scott Bennett, Northwest Comedian of the Year Nina Gilligan, and internet and TV comedian Tez Ilyas will also appear.
