"One of our small group's get togethers and the Bull seemed ideal with Travelzoo's cut price deal. However we were generally disappointed in the food. The ladies had the chicken pie which they say they enjoyed. The boys had a couple of curries. I know my friend found his disappointing both in quality and quantity. My own curry could have come from any corner shop. Not only was the the serving small and insignificant it was also bland. It was a real disappointment and I was ashamed to ask my friends to pay half the bill!!"

This was not the old Bull's Head that I remember from a few years back. That Bull had some class about it. Now, it has had a face-lift of sorts but certainly not in keeping with it's past status. I would need to have my arms severely twisted before thinking of returning - what a pity, I was really looking forward to my visit. Finally, before you ask - no! we did not complain - that is not what we do.

The place is beautiful. We were half expecting a different menu for voucher holders from the regular menu but it was the same menu. The food was fabulous and we didn't even reach the voucher value! We would definitely go again.

We visit Beaumaris quite often (staying at the Holiday Property bond at Henllys) but had never been in the Bull's Head. We had very wrongly thought it would be just another tired old pub but it has been very nicely modernised inside and is really nice.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine but then sadly over charged by £35.
Other Comments
The standard of food was very poor. Two of us returned our main courses one of which was a smoked haddock risotto. This arrived as a congealed mass in which I could stand my spoon in. The other meal was a game casserole with dumplings which were so hard that you were unable to cut into them and the gravy was congealed as if having been in a microwave.

I went with a friend and sat in the dining room with log fire the atmosphere service and food were all excellent I have already recommended it to friends and hope to go back very soon

One couple enjoyed the food, the other had the fish risotto. The risotto was tasteless, full of large bones and skin. No fish. The cheese board contained 3 small pieces of cheese not worth the price on the menu. So disappointing as this was a special meal for friends and we didn't want to make a fuss.
