Hotel details
Hotel Oddsson Midtown is a stylish, modern hotel in midtown Reykjavík. Your key code and room number will be sent across two days prior to arrival. You can then check in at your convenience. Breakfast is included and served daily from 710am.

It's a great base for exploring, with a bus stop right outside the hotel. It is around 15 minutes to the iconic Hallgrímskirkja church. From there, you can explore the cool boutique stores and roasthouses on a walk to the centre. We recommend dropping by FlyOver Iceland, which simulates spectacular flights over mountains and glaciers.

On day two, you'll explore the Golden Circle of Thingvellir National Park. Stops include Gullfoss waterfall and Strokkur (an active geyser that erupts every few minutes). You'll spot traditional cottages, wild ponies, and tiny elf homes built into rocks by local people.

The evening Northern Lights tour lasts around three and a half hours. You'll be taken to a viewing location based on the most up-to-date activity reports. The winter season is the best time to see the lights, however sightings aren't guaranteed.

Other options
You can also stay at the 2-star Hotel Cabin for the cheaper price of £349 per person.
