Cruise details
Sail along the mighty Nile aboard MS Nile Commodore, visiting a new port each morning. There will be plenty of time to disembark and explore before continuing your leisurely journey. You'll sail close to the riverbanks during this cruise. This means you can soak up mesmerising scenery and observe daily life from the sundeck. Guided excursions are not included unless you add an excursion pack.
The light excursion package costs from £199 per person, and includes:
- Valley of the Kings... journey inside ancient tombs and visit the mortuary temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut. You'll also see the Colossi of Memnon.
- Edfu... with some of the best preserved and richly-coloured ancient hieroglyphs.
- High Dam... is also known as the Aswan Dam and is a magnificent feat of engineering.
- Philae... an island-based temple surrounded by bobbing sailboats and kingfishers.
- Aswan... explore this picturesque river city.
- Kom Ombo... overlooks the water and is dedicated to the crocodile gods.
The full excursion package costs from £249 per person. Add this to include trips to Luxor temple, with its enormous sphinxes, and Karnak temple. Karnak is the world's largest temple complex, with colossal statues and obelisks.
