We had a lovely overnight stay at hotel meudon for my birthday. The hotel was super the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very clean and the gardens were superb an absolute joy to wander in and walk down to the pretty beach. The restaurant was a bit chilly in the evening but the food was lovely and the staff very attentive and friendly. We had a lovely breakfast and we enjoyed cocktails in the evening in the bar. The hotel was very quiet which we enjoyed this may have been as it wasn’t full due to the time of year. We had a lovely time and would return and recommend to our friends.

The rooms and hotel appearance a little outdated. Extremely disappointed with the dinner. Supposedly slow cooked beef was Still red and chewy. I had to ask to change it as I could not eat it. Yorkshire pudding was dried up and crisp. Got fish instead that wasn’t nice also. Not enough choices on the menu. Breakfast was amazing and lots to choose on breakfast bar and hot food to order. Excellent service from stag at all times. So cheerful and friendly. Just a shame the dinner wasn’t good. Would not have dinner there again.

Even the weather was great.

Some people had stayed for several nights so, although the food was good, they were getting tired of the same choices. It was lovely for us. I wondered if there was enough ramson growing in the valley to include it on the menu.

Despite awful weather we had a lovely relaxing stay. Friendly helpful staff. Gardens are fabulous. Would like to see them in good weather.

The welcome here was second to none. The hotel was spotlessly clean. It was cold in the restaurant and we think we were unfortunate to eat there on the valentine’s night as we only had a choice from their set menu, which had limited options. The pricing of this menu was very strange as 2 courses were £35 (our meal allowance was £30) and the courses were £50. This would mean you were paying £15 for a desert or starter, which is excessive. Sadly the weather was not in our favour so we could not take advantage of the beautiful gardens.

Unfortunately the central heating was broken down in all the bar and restaurant areas, so it was very cold in these areas. However, the accommodation areas where fine and lovely and warm. The heated towel rail in our room was also out of order, and was not fixed while we were there. Despite these points the overall experience was excellent. The menu was very limited, as this is still "out of season", but the food overall was good.
