"Cosy hotel, comfortable rooms with a huge bed and tea/coffee making facilities. Very attentive & friendly staff. We had a fabulous freshly cooked breakfast included and also used their restaurant Lokky's in the evening, our meal was superb."

Why We Love This Hotel

  • The hotel's restaurant, Lokky's, has received a Golden Chopsticks award. The menu takes inspiration from Japanese, Thai, Filipino, and Korean cuisine.
  • The hotel is five minutes' drive from the quaint seaside village of Saundersfoot. Tenby, another popular coastal town, has a photogenic harbour and is 10 minutes' drive away.
  • Pembroke Castle is less than 20 minutes' drive from the hotel. This impressive fortress was the birthplace of Henry VII. Explore its great oval keep, cavern and passageways, and Medieval exhibits.
  • National Geographic rated Pembrokeshire as one of the best coastal destinations in the world. The county is home to the UK's only coastal national park. Experience the beautiful scenery along any stretch of the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
  • St David's is the smallest city in Britain and a centuries-old place of pilgrimage. Visit its impressive cathedral and brooding Bishop's Palace ruins. The city can be reached in under an hour from the hotel by car.

Close to Tenby and Saundersfoot.

It was very cold in the bar/restaurant and the manager didn't take the hint! there's a Guest Lounge which was equally chilly. Food at the Chinese was okay (7/10), but the Thai wasn't particularly nice (2/10) and certainly not 'special' in the way that it had been sold. Both restaurants were anxious for us to leave by 21:30 the bar was expensive and quite limited with beer and wine and non-alcoholic choices. Breakfast was quite nice but simply awful tea and coffee. Attentive, smiley and helpful staff. 'Front of House' was a bit intense for me, but that's my failing!

All the staff were really welcoming. Ate in the restaurant on both nights of our stay. Definitely chef's special is worth a try. Not many other patrons so quiet atmosphere and the restaurant was cold. Hotel is located a little way out of Saundersfoot with a large car park but it is not easy to walk to the centre although there is a bus service nearby.

Would definitely recommend the hotel as somewhere different with excellent service. Their advertised afternoon tea looked nice but unfortunately it didn't fit into our plans.
