Stayed for 2 nights in the Next Door part of the Dunoon. It was midweek so the hotel was very quite. It has recently been done out very well. The evening meal was quite incredible and highly recommended.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and we will definitely be going back.

Our room was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. The hotel is tastefully decorated and very clean. There is a large traditional restaurant, which wasn't very busy, however we were seated in a small side room with others who had booked the same 2-night deal. It was nice and bright for breakfast but we would have much preferred to dine in the actual restaurant on the first night. The food was very good and not long to wait, with plenty of waiting staff. There is a small comfortable bar to have a pre-dinner drink and a lounge at the front. The car park is a short walk away but easy to access. Plenty of on-street parking but this was always full. We dined out the second night, plenty of bars and places to eat close by. The pier is a short walk away, as is the tram station to take you to the top of the Great Orme, well worth it for the views.

We had a lovely break. The staff were friendly and attentive. Dinner and breakfast were fabulous. Excellent value for money. The only slight criticism is that there was no fridge in our room but that wouldn't put us off returning. Highly recommend.

Some staff were very pleasant and helpful.
When I pointed out that my main course at dinner was not as described and poorly cooked. the waitress took it away and replaced it with an alternative.

Room was not as expected and very very disappointing. . We expected our superior rooms to be on front of hotel. ours was squashed into side corner , a very odd shape, no minibar- as stated in booking - ( so prosecco provided was warm) and room was cluttered with old furniture . One bed was pushed against a wall. 4 very large chairs in room for 2 people. huge desk BUT NO USB PORTS IN SOCKETS OR USEFUL SPARE SOCKETS ANYWHERE IN ROOM. No decaf drinks.
AND there was scaffolding across the window with a ladder - so room was not secure when windows open. And view was just scaffolding. No mention of this anywhere.

Overall we enjoyed the experience. The service was good and the food tasty. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable. We thought the Travelzoo voucher was good value for money. We wouldn't stay at this hotel for the full advertised price because I think there are better hotels for that price.

Visiting with friends we had an excellent experience. We were all given a free upgrade on arrival and reception couldn’t have been more welcoming. The newly decorated rooms were very comfortable, each with a fabulous en-suite. The food was exceptional. Fresh local produce, cooked and presented to a very high standard. Crisp white table clothes and silver cutlery, something you rarely get these days. The hotel exceeded our expectations and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it in terms of value for money.

As much as we liked the hotel it may not appeal to a younger demographic due to its traditional decor and style of service. However, the newly opened Next Door bar and restaurant should appeal to the younger traveller and we wish them success.

The welcome and check out was very matter of fact. No personality or interaction at all. The complementary prosecco wasn't offered. The evening meal was definitely not Rosette standing, no seasoning in the food at all. Once again, no welcome or interaction from staff. No background music or ambience.

We taken to an anex called “next door” room 202 small and awkward to negotiate. had to go outside to the Dunoon hotel for our breakfasts and evening meal and we got wet. No incentive to leave our room to go to hotel lounge as get wet, not relaxing. Do not feel like we had the Dunoon Hotel experience we were looking forward to, so very disappointed as we expected to stay in Dunoon Hotel. No one asked if we had had a nice stay when we left. No mention of an annexe when booking. I was tired when we got there needed the best experience.

The Hotel is ideally located and decorated to a high standard. The staff were very accommodating whenever we asked for anything. The food was good, although small portions and the Next Door Restaurant (which is part of the Hotel) was excellent. The food and staff were brilliant and made our meal thoroughly enjoyable. Expect to wait as the food is cooked to order but well worth the wait. Would definitely recommend with hotel .

Stoped two nights in one of the upgraded rooms.
The hotel is well located just a short walk from the promenade, pier and the main shopping streets.
The restaurant serves excellent food but there are also plenty of other food outlets near by.
All in all a great place to stay in Llandudno.
Other Comments
Parking. Hotel parking is limited and is a short walk away and finding a space to park or offload bags in front of the hotel is unlikely.
