Why We Love This Hotel

  • The restaurant has two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. Next Door restaurant serves local ales, gins, and artisan coffee.
  • Llandudno is a "vintage Welsh beachside resort with enduring appeal" (National Geographic). There are sandy beaches on either side of the limestone peninsula.
  • Llandudno Pier, the longest in Wales, is filled with traditional seaside shops, cafes, and arcades. Five generations of the Codman family have been running a "Punch & Judy" show here. They use hand-carved puppets made from driftwood collected from the beach.
  • The cable-hauled Great Orme Tramway has been a local fixture since 1902. It travels through the Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve to the summit for splendid views.
  • Conwy lies 15 minutes' drive away. Explore the Medieval Conwy Castle, the RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve, and Plas Mawr, an Elizabethan town house.

Stayed for 2 nights in the Next Door part of the Dunoon. It was midweek so the hotel was very quite. It has recently been done out very well. The evening meal was quite incredible and highly recommended. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and we will definitely be going back.

Our room was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. The hotel is tastefully decorated and very clean. There is a large traditional restaurant, which wasn't very busy, however we were seated in a small side room with others who had booked the same 2-night deal. It was nice and bright for breakfast but we would have much preferred to dine in the actual restaurant on the first night. The food was very good and not long to wait, with plenty of waiting staff. There is a small comfortable bar to have a pre-dinner drink and a lounge at the front. The car park is a short walk away but easy to access. Plenty of on-street parking but this was always full. We dined out the second night, plenty of bars and places to eat close by. The pier is a short walk away, as is the tram station to take you to the top of the Great Orme, well worth it for the views.
