Used the hotel for an Anniversary/ Birthday break accompanied by our Labrador. Lovely hotel in great location for exploring the area. Some places who say they are dog friendly are merely tolerant. At Marshall Meadows they genuinely enjoyed dogs. So the combination this , beautiful rooms and fine food added up to a most enjoyable relaxed stay.

Two nights in the hotel - very comfortable spacious room looking out to sea.
Breakfasts were very good and we also enjoyed an evening meal in the hotel on the first night. Staff were very friendly.

If you fancy a short walk, it only half a mile along the cliff top north to the Scottish border. Otherwise the coastal cliff walk will take you south to Berwick - and you can get a bus back!

Everything about this hotel is really good . We were made to feel very welcome by every member of staff from the moment we arrived to our departure . The decor is clean and attractive in all the public areas . The bedroom was very comfortable and relaxing and the bathroom was excellent . We felt very pampered throughout the whole of our stay and would highly recommend Marshall Meadows Manor House .

We arrived quite late and tired. so it was lovely to feel that we were expected when we mentioned our name and were literally taken to our room. This was beautifully comfortable and decorated in relaxing colours. The beds were comfortable and dinner in the restaurant was delicious, as was breakfast. I would totally recommend the kipper.
The staff seemed to go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, with more than one member of staff saying how much they enjoyed working at the hotel.

We really enjoyed the local town of Berwick upon Tweed with it's battlements and Lowrey walk and the variety of coffee shops. Though the weather was cold windy and wet, we still managed to find a castle that was open in March and managed a walk along the beautiful coastline

Heating broken so had to use fan heater for duration of stay, which was satisfactory but also no hot water for first day so cold showers! Apologised but no suggestion of compensating for inconvenience.
Rooms comfortable but needed a good vacuum. Bed not very well made possibly due to ill fitting sheets.
Unusual not to have a light above at least one mirror in bedroom or bathroom so would benefit from this.

While we had a lovely relaxing time there when I booked there was no info. On accessibility if like me I am not to steady on my feet. There was no lift due to the age of the building. There was many stairs to get up to our room. It would be helpful if travel zoo stated about accessibility. There was no rail even at the front entrance and my partner needed to walk me up them.

Our stay was only marred on the last night by 2 things. 1/. Despite having told the hotel that my wife is allergic to fish and seafood, they managed to serve a salad accompaniment to her main dish, which contained Anchovies. Fortunately my wife spotted this and it was replaced. 2/. Having finished our main course we waited for half an hour before anyone came to take our desert order. After waiting a further 15 minutes with no sign of it, we gave up and left the restaurant. Such a pity as it soured our whole experience of the hotel.

We loved the hotel, it had a great area for having drinks of an evening, not walkable to everywhere due to location which was fine for us but not for people who would like to go out for dinner etc, we stayed in one of the Meadow Suites (Pod) we enjoyed the big superking bed and the hot tub however the bathroom was extremely small and the shower was difficult to use for us being over 6ft tall. Even though we loved the idea of the Pod, we would probably stay in the main house next time if we returned. Breakfast was tasty and a good selection on the buffet, staff were friendly but seemed stressed and we waiting a long time for tea/coffee and toast to arrive.
