The food was exquisitely presented and equally delicious to eat. The service was excellent. The only thing to spoil the occasion was the tube strike which caused us a lot of problems getting to the venue and then onwards to the matinee performance in Shaftesbury Avenue. The delay in our arrival and having to rush off so as not to miss the show meant that we had to skip the dessert, making the value for money a bit less than we had hoped. It took the edge of what should have been a wonderfully relaxed and enjoyable occasion. Nothing the restaurant could have done about it, but the striking workers did not endear themselves or their cause to us.

We had superb staff from Denis, and other members of the team, who were efficient, friendly and informative. We really enjoyed the relaxed but professional atmosphere of the dining room, which was also used to serve afternoon teas. There were two choices for each course at lunch, and it was incredible food, really beautfully cooked and beautifully presented. We would most definitely go back again!

It's a lovely venue. Excellent staff. Reasonable value for the experience but was disappointed that the menu we wanted wasn't available.

We like this venue and booked again to celebrate an anniversary. The main reason we decided to go back was the set menu advertised on the offer. Unfortunately we had a totally different menu. If this has been the one advertised we wouldn't have booked. It was disappointing as the choices didn't appeal but I accept the quality was fine.
Also the email advertised to book was not working/being monitored so had to phone to make the reservation. This contact option should be removed from the offer conditions.

The food good. We ordered a bottle of water £8 just still water. And were charged a £16.80 service charge when I was told with the voucher there was nothing more to pay( I understand being charged for the water)

This is a beautiful hotel and restaurant. The food was lovely as ever. This is our 4th visit and the first time service was erratic. Asked for tap water started to pour bottled. Had to ask them to take our desert order as we were just left although staff were around. They forgot to bring our desert, when asked apologised and said they had forgotten to fetch it.

The Lanesborough grill set lunch was a excellent experience (albeit the starter we ordered, wasn’t available We were offered an alternative – a green salad which we didn’t find acceptable, so we paid extra and chose something of the main menu.) other than that the whole experience was really enjoyable and the food was as expected – beautifully presented and delicious. Staff were fun and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

It was simply wonderful. A beautiful hotel and restaurant and the staff really were super. Even though we came in on a voucher, we were treated with respect and politeness. Staff knew their stuff that’s for sure. The ambience was lovely and the food outstanding, We worried the food would be too small, but actually we were completely full at the end of the meal. We will definitely be back.

The hotel screamed of taste and wealth. We don’t normally pay £2-300 for a meal, but it was my husbands birthday so we were prepared to splash out. It was a true occasion and we are both very glad we went.
