"The hotel reception is lovely with an open fire and the staff were very friendly. We made use of the spa facilities which was great. We booked the restaurant and were served by Erin who was absolutely fantastic. Food was delicious and if this deal comes up again I'd definitely book."

Generally all good. Restaurant menu is a bit thin. We ate in the bar which was fine, a little bit more choice. Bar prices are as expected high. Breakfast menu and service was excellent. Used the gym and leisure facilities which were very good. Room very comfortable and clean.

Travelzoo voucher was a good deal and I bought 2 to stay on consecutive nights. Had to press for my entitled Travelzoo benefits. The bottle of Prosecco in the room was great but could have been better with an ice bucket especially as there was an ice machine in the corridor so had to press for a few things. Room, food and leisure facilities were great albeit that my wife struggled with the distance from our room to the main part of the hotel.

It’s not near the centre of Lancaster so could be a problem for some visiting the Castle etc.
