Renowned chef Nigel Haworth has long been a champion of exceptional Lancashire ingredients. His Mitton restaurant The Three Fishes makes no exception. Focussing on zero-waste, farm-to-table cookery, they use their own seasonal produce grown in surrounding countryside. I'm not sure that the Travelzoo voucher was much of a saving - with going on Saturday (which I knew would incur a £10pp supplement) that took the price per person to £55 and the actual menu on the day, the price was £65pp for the 5 course tasting menu

First time visit, lovely location and overall a nice experience. The staff were all very courteous and friendly. It was a lunch time reservation, initially very quiet and somewhat lacking in atmosphere, improved as more diners arrived. Excellent food. Expensive but I would recommend and visit again

Felt the seating arrangements somewhat fragmented with several separate areas for dining. Lead to feeling little isolated and not a great ambience when initially only a few diners and each located in separate sections of the restaurant. I did feel that the side dishes were particularly on the expensive side, e,g. £8 for five small new potatoes!

Nelson at Travelzoo sorted out what could have been a difficult problem when the merchant cancelled the booking after we had booked overnight accommodation in order to use the voucher. Nelson sorted it quickly and pleasantly at no extra cost to us. Great customer service
