"This is modern Indian cooking that deserved its Michelin star" says Andy Hayler about Benares. As well as a Michelin Star, the Mayfair-based restaurant also holds two Rosettes.   • Executive chef Sameer Taneja re-joined the restaurant team in 2019. He earned back the restaurant's Michelin star in 2021, and has retained it since.

We all had a fantastic time thank you. The front desk was very welcoming as were the waiters. Beautiful decor and really attentive staff. Absolutely loved all of the food we had - great deal travelzoo. The turkey momo starter was delicious, happy to have those any time. The lamb main course was so tender and really tasty. We are all keen to return
