More Reasons to Go
- Overlooking Bull Bay, The Trecastell Hotel sits on the north coast of Anglesey. Sea views can be admired from just about anywhere in the hotel—including the rooms.
- The hotel's restaurant serves hearty, seasonal dishes. The bar offers a curated selection of craft beer, wine, and cocktails.
- The hotel is about a 5-minute drive from Amlwch and its port. The town is a gateway to the Anglesey Coastal Path—a 130-mile loop around the island.
- A few miles south of the hotel, you'll find Parys Mountain. Once a 17th-century copper mine, the unique and colourful landscape now attracts ramblers.
- Over on the west coast, about a 30-minute drive away, is Holyhead. The wider area is home to South Stack Lighthouse, perched on the cliffs of Ynys Lawd. Climb the nearby Holyhead Mountain, the highest point in Anglesey, for panoramic views.

Friendly service, good food, peaceful spot. Enjoyed sitting by the sea, road was not intrusive. Dining room a pleasant place to have a meal.

We really had a nice stay, no complaints, great value for money on the offer. New bathrooms nice (but could do with a shelf) If I had to offer some constructive observations....A few cobwebs high up, but didn't bother us, some might make an issue of it. Room One a bit weird in that it had a fire escape exiting from it, but not just for that room! Hopefully won't ever be an issue! Also was right about kitchen extractor fan, so quite noisy, if you are a light sleeper this could be an issue first thing and if you want an early night. Breakfast a little disappointing, no pastries or fruit, unless we were a bit late. 10am checkout a bit tight if you're not usually up early. But none of this would stop us from staying again or recommending!

The hotel was lovely, could do with a little updating but very clean, warm and cosy. The bed was too soft but our stay was fabulous

The staff were efficient and friendly, the room was clean and the bed comfy. We enjoyed our breakfasts and our evening meal. The hotel is a perfect base to explore the eastern side of Anglesey, and the views from the dining rooms are exceptional.

The hotel is situated in a lovely locacion, easy access to some of the nearby well known town centres. The rooms are dated and old fashion. We had to pay extra for the front room with seaview. Dinner was not that brilliant , our meal was included on the first night but the following night we tried to book elsewhere but most of the surrounding restaurants were closed on a Monday including the Lobster Pot. We stayed at the hotel for dinner, the homemade pie crust was prepared with filo pastry and they had ran out of seabass. South stack lighthouse is only 45 minutes drive from the hohel. The staff were polite and curteous.
