We recently spent a couple of days at Burn Hall Hotel and found all the staff to be really pleasant and helpful, the food was very good. The standard room we had was ok but the bathroom which was clean could do with modernising, in particular change the shower over the bath for a shower cubicle, the shower curtain is not great!
The Birds of Prey experience was excellent. I couldn't recommend staying here (unless you plan on not leaving the hotel during your stay) as there is nothing else to do nearby and York is about a half hour drive away. All that said it was a very good deal for the two nights we were there.

Other Comments
Small issue, public rooms on the chilly side. Too loud music when dining but not a huge problem

Lovely, very helpful staff without exception. The food was excellent and service good. Rooms and general decor a bit tired and dated. The Birds of Prey centre - 3 min walk away - was a fantastic experience, loved it.

The reception and restaurant were very comfortable and the restaurant staff were very good.
Other Comments
The room was very cold and in need of refurbishment, the bathroom sink had a large crack in it and water leaked from it. We had to ask for an extra heaterbto be put into the room.
Most of the people staying at the hotel were workers from Yorkshire water and NHS because in the hotel grounds are training schools for both lots of workers.
The room was situated in the furthest part of the hotel, when there were other rooms closer to the hotel amenities.
The car park was quite full and very dirty as it was just hard earth and resulted in footwear being muddy, which was transferred to the hotel reception.

Lovely staff. Very attentive and professional. Large hotel, sadly only about 10 guests, so no atmosphere at all. Also large parts of the hotel were not heated and our stay was during a very cold snap, so it wasn't always comfortable.
Highly recommend the food in the restaurant and the breakfast was more than adequate.
