Food was very nice, but service exceedingly slow. It took three and a half hours to be served a two course meal and coffee, including queueing to pay. They tried to charge us for items they said at table were included. Staff not adequately trained.

Food was lovely and the ambience was wonderful. However, they need more staff and it's impossible get through on the phone as no-one ever answers. We had to change our booking due to the storm and they were very accommodating. Emails answered promptly.

SPOILED! The venue was incredible, with the decorations and open fires making it quite magical. My steak was very tough to cut through, so felt the Travelzoo offer wasn’t worth it. ALSO, the voucher clearly stated that a coffee or tea were included. When paying the bill at the counter, they were charging for our coffee! This’s turned out to be a bit of an argument, even though I pointed it out on the printed voucher. The staff member wasn’t happy about it and expressed his frustration saying he had this problem often and wished they didn’t have to do these Travelzoo vouchers. There were other people listening to all this and my wife and I were embarrassed and felt other’s were maybe thinking we were penny pinching, when we were only wanting to to pay the bill ravelzoo voucher offer as it stood!
